I put this on my backhand. It's not a hard rubber, more on the soft side, but it grips the ball well and produces shots that match your impact. It also has quite a bit of grip on the ball, so you need to set the racket angle properly. Overall it's easy to use a wide variety of techniques with it. It's easy to use, and I got used to it in just 2-3 days, so I'd recommend it to beginners too. That said, intermediate-to-advanced players might feel the sheet is a bit lacking, so I'd recommend it for the backhand.

Good rubber to start with. Control is especially easy, and it flies pretty well, so it's easy for anyone to use. It's a rubber where you can clearly tell the difference between just meeting the ball and brushing it. That said, unlike something like Tenergy, it doesn't put spin on the ball automatically — you have to swing properly to get spin. So I think it's perfect for building your form or for people just starting out in table tennis.

My first impression is that it feels really "automatic." If you add spin, you get spin for it, but sometimes it comes out spinning even when you didn't add any. Also, its consistency relative to its power is really good. Even for someone like me who's been netting a lot of drives lately, the ball goes in surprisingly often. So if you're confident enough to commit to buying this, I'd recommend getting max thickness or MAX. It's easy to use, so it's plenty good enough for a middle schooler.

All I can say is it's excellent. Any ball lifts easily. Against topspin, it lifts so much that if you don't adjust the angle precisely you'll overshoot. Against backspin, it absolutely never drops. Just like with topspin, you should adjust carefully. It's perfect whether you flick or brush it. Serves also grip well thanks to the tack. Normally, with a tacky rubber like Hurricane, the ratio of rebound to spin tends to be about 1:2, but this one flies more, at about 10:10. It's a genuinely excellent, perfect rubber. For people who aren't into tacky rubbers, something like 05 would be a good choice too.

Overall, it's a rubber with pretty good total balance. There's no technique you can do, can't do, or find hard to do - it's an all-rounder. Both chops and topspin drives produce a ball with real weight behind it. So it's recommended for players who want more power or who want to use a slightly harder rubber. The one drawback I'd point to is the lifespan. The performance is good, but the lifespan relative to that is a bit short. After about half a year of use, the performance changes quite a bit. But it's a good rubber, so I think it's also fine to try it as a stepping stone before Tenergy.
