I used this on the reverse side of a Chinese penhold blade. I mostly take backhand balls with the reverse side, so I'd been struggling to pick a backhand rubber. Then I found this one, which looked light. Once I actually hit with it, I found the control really easy — probably thanks to the soft topsheet. It also gets good spin. It doesn't have one-shot-kill power, but if you can handle it, it seems like more than enough to win at a high school level. It also holds up fine in fast-paced rallies. In short, I think it's a rubber that fits modern fast-paced table tennis while still being easy to handle. Just my two cents.

Used at max thickness on the forehand of a penhold blade. I've tried it on wood, inner carbon, and outer carbon blades, and it matches with all of them. When I pressed on the rubber it felt somewhat hard, but when I actually hit with it, it didn't feel that hard. Even without much skill, I could produce shots with both spin and speed. I felt the spin exceeded Tenergy. Speed varies depending on the user's skill, but on average I don't think it produces particularly fast balls. I think it's an easy transition whether you're coming from Chinese rubber or tension rubber. That said, I felt the lifespan was short, so that's something to watch out for.

Easy to put spin on. Light touches feel like wood, while hard hits bring out the carbon - the short game stays controlled, and drives come out with a sharp trajectory. I'd recommend it for intermediate players and above.
It's not cheap, but it's definitely worth trying.

I've been using this since 3 days after release. These are my thoughts after eight and a half months of use.
First, it's soft. The package says 48 degrees, but that really doesn't feel like it.
Drive: You can hold the ball and hit shots loaded with both speed and spin. When I ask practice partners how the ball feels, they often say it's heavy. And the sound is great!
Short game: Sharp pushes are easy to execute, and stops actually stop.
Hitting against backspin: This is the easiest thing to do with it. Even a casual swing produces a nice arc and lands in.
Overall, I found this to be a rubber that really sends the ball upward. So I'd recommend it to players who can swing forward properly.

I'm using the penhold version at 87g. First off, the stability is just insane. You get the confidence that a full swing will still land, rock-solid blocks, and a feel plus ease of spin that you only get from pure wood. Use this blade and you're guaranteed to fall in love with STIGA. I'd recommend it to anyone currently using a carbon blade who wants to rebuild their fundamentals, anyone who wants stability over raw power, and anyone looking for something similar to the Carbonado 45. It's also supposed to work well with short pips, so I'd love for penhold short-pips players to give it a try too.
