    I used MAX on my forehand for about a year.
    Before that I used thick, and this sinks into the sponge more than thick did.
    (Drive against topspin) ... The ball flies in a straighter line, and since the ball sinks in, it felt slightly softer than thick. Advanced players with a strong impact might feel the ball drop when they hit it hard. Also, I felt this is a rubber that wins more through ball speed than through piling on spin!
    (Meet hit) ... Really good. Smashes leave a good impression too. Recommended for players who use a lot of meet hits!
    (Drive against backspin) ... With speed drives, if you get a solid impact the ball goes in well, but if it's half-hearted you'll make mistakes. Basically this is a rubber where you have to make it work yourself. Same goes for loop drives. That said, the amount of spin is a bit lower than today's high-end rubbers, but that difference in spin can still be scary for your opponent.
    (Counter-hitting) ... It lets you counter well, which is good! Though against balls with a lot of spin I felt a bit of clipping.
    [G-1 has good balance and is moderately hard, so I can recommend it to intermediate players and above!
    But for middle/high schoolers or beginners who don't have a solid enough impact yet, another rubber in the Fastarc series would be better.]
