It feels quite bouncy. If you don't angle the racket properly when making contact, it'll go long. True to being vertical pips, the ball really slides off it. Any ball that floats up even a little, you can smash away without hesitation.

They say it's a rubber even first-time short pips users can handle... but I feel you can only really bring out its full performance once you're at an intermediate level. Used normally, you can hit shots that feel similar to Bryce Speed. But that's not really where it shines - its real strength is being able to produce a variety of shots, like drives with real spin on them. It's built entirely for fast attacking play, so handle it with care.

I switched over from Hammond FA.
Compared to Hammond FA, it's easier to put spin on the ball and it can even produce knuckle balls on top of that. The spin isn't quite up to VICTAS 102 level though. I'd recommend this for intermediate players. All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

I switched from inverted rubber to Morrist SP short pips. This rubber has good speed and puts on good spin — overall it's just easy to use. Drives, smashes, and blocks all land solidly on the table too. It really shows why Mima Ito uses this rubber.

This is a rubber I used in the past.
I used the thick version in red.
First, on the plus side, you can play without any stress.
The consistency is also higher compared to other short pips.
Knuckle balls come out naturally too.
The spin is also quite strong for a vertical-pips rubber.
I'd say the feel and the hardness of the rubber lean toward the soft side.
It seems to suit a demanding player pretty well — someone who wants to push forward with speed while still wanting spin and knuckle balls too.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Soft

iipton The classic short-pips rubber!

I use this on the forehand side of a shakehand blade.
Basically it feels like a typical high-tension short-pips rubber in terms of launch. That said, in the short game and on blocks, it naturally adds variation, and on serves and loops it grips the ball well for solid spin.
If you're switching over from inverted rubber it might feel unfamiliar at first, but as a benchmark for what short pips are like, it could also be good for short-pips beginners. All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

This is a rubber that excels at everything — blocking, the short game, and countering. Being vertical pips, it can also produce some variation on the ball. Among short-pips options there's usually a choice between tension-type and variation-type rubbers, but I think this one manages to combine both.
