  • ROZENA

    User review

Rozena is soft, so you should use it without moving too far from the table.
It can handle curve drives and chops reasonably well too, so it's a good rubber.

It's expensive, but it gives you speed and power to match the price.
Tacky rubbers don't really suit it, but I thought Tenergy or Rozena work well with it.

Being cheap is good for beginners just starting out, but once you get into drives or the short game, you'll definitely need to upgrade.
I don't think you can win with this one.

Lots of people compare this to Dignics, but since I haven't used Dignics much, I'm comparing it to Rozena instead.
The sponge hardness is 3 degrees different, so it feels a bit firmer than Rozena.
As for spin, I think it produces more than Rozena.
I'd recommend it as a step up from Rozena.
If you're thinking about buying Rozena, I think it's worth spending an extra 1,000 yen to get Glayzer instead.

Among pips rubbers this one produces variation especially easily, so I'd recommend it for beginners or anyone trying pips for the first time.
That said, it doesn't travel very far, so it's not suited for players standing further back.
