A long pimple out rubber with profiled pimple surface. The thin pimples made out of soft rubber, support the possibility to produce dangerous defensive shots. It is possible to bring in your own chopping variation, which almost all professional players prefer.

It's not an exaggeration to say this rubber produces more variation than any other long pips out there.
Chops have solid bite, and depending on the opponent's shot, your own chop can come out knuckle-like too, letting you send chops that opponents really hate. Pushes are hard to put spin on at first, but once you get used to it you can add as much variation as you want, lol. The one drawback is that it's a bit tricky to handle, so I think it's better to start with the Curl P4V first and switch to the P1V later.
It's also highly recommended for the backhand of a shakehand attacking style. It really fits the classic playing style of creating chances with the nasty ball from the long pips, then finishing with the forehand.
It also works on a penhold pips setup, but a lot of people will probably find it lacking since it doesn't produce much speed.
The variation is truly the best, so I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to win with that classic long-pips ball quality! All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

Among pips rubbers this one produces variation especially easily, so I'd recommend it for beginners or anyone trying pips for the first time.
That said, it doesn't travel very far, so it's not suited for players standing further back. All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

When I switched to chopper style, I put a Curl P1R on my backhand at the time (before that I'd been inverted rubber on both sides).
It was my first time with long pips, but I got used to it without too much trouble.
Lower-pip rubbers are probably easier to handle, but I think if you start out with this one, you'll end up able to handle any long pips rubber, so to speak.
The variation it produces is huge, and I think it's a great rubber. All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

It's easy to control and has a stable feel, and being easy to use for pushes was a distinctive feature.
I think it's perfect as a second rubber.
Recommended for people who want to add variation to their game — definitely give it a try.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

I've been using long pips for 20 years, with a spin-oriented short pips rubber (Hellracer) and long pips on a penhold setup.
I switched from Glass → Monkey to the Curl P1V.
I'm a devoted user of the OX version, which gives the most variation.
As for speed and control, I'd place it as about average among the many long pips out there.
What I like most is that even with all the variation it produces, I can still control it the way I intend, and I get fewer of those mystifying, doesn't-make-sense misses.
As for the blade, a harder, all-even-ply 5-ply blade surprisingly suits it well. All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

I currently play a close-to-the-table pips-out style, and I started using this rubber once my playing style was set. It's very easy to handle and I think it works well in just about any situation. Paired with a Koji Matsushita blade, it suits a close-to-the-table pips-out style, chopping, and all-round pips play.
