A blade featuring CNF (cellulose nanofiber), the newest special material out there.
Before this one I was using the Mace, which has arylate carbon in it, but the speed here holds up just fine in comparison.
The feel isn't hard like carbon — it's soft, but it doesn't have that wood-like shock through your hand either. It's a genuinely new kind of feel.
The feel is close to a 7-ply, but compared to the Clipper Wood the ball leaves faster here and it feels like more speed too.
The biggest advantage is the very wide sweet spot. If you swing through properly, you get a good, stable ball no matter where on the blade you hit it.
Maybe because the core and outer plies use hinoki, it's also very easy to put spin on the ball.
For around 10,000 yen, I'd say this level of performance is a steal.One thing to watch out for is that it's fairly heavy. Mine was 90g, and even asking the manufacturer I couldn't find one under 89g.
And probably the biggest downside is that stock isn't reliable. Apparently domestic hinoki wood is getting harder to source than ever, so once it sells out, there's no telling when the next shipment will arrive.

Since both the core and the outer plies are hinoki, the ball grip is really good.
It produces a nice arc, so I can hit very stable shots against both backspin and topspin.
The speed is lower than the Viscaria, but higher than most inner-ply blades.
I couldn't get the hang of the Viscaria, so I switched to the Arnaid inner, and from there ended up here. Honestly, if you're going to spend that much on an inner blade, I think the Classic 5 CNF is the better choice.
There's one downside — you get spin, but the ball comes off clean rather than "roughed up."
So the impact on the opponent is low. But since I'm not at a level where I'm thinking about the effect on my opponent,
it wasn't really a downside for me.
If you're looking for a good, affordable blade, I'd recommend this as a second blade to move up from wood blades. You barely notice the special material, so it's easy to use even though it's an outer blade.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness Little soft
