      It's a shakeback grain.
First of all, it's a perfect match with the grain! You can block and attack with the grain freely, and your forehand drive and smash are very powerful!
Other reviews have said that it's heavy, but I don't feel it's that heavy. In fact, the ball is just the right amount of heavy, which is great.
It's also great for back-court shots, so I recommend it for any style of play! However, it may be too heavy for pen grain...
This is a racket that I want all players, whether advanced, beginner, or intermediate, to try at least once lol

Gumi The grip shape and feel are top-notch

      Player reviews

I've just gotten back into table tennis after a long absence in my middle age, and I bought a standard set that's close to the ones I used back then.
It's a very modest racket compared to the 7-ply and other material rackets of today, but it's perfect for feeling the rubber and racket gripping the ball.
It's classified as an offensive racket, but by modern standards it feels like an all-purpose racket that's about Off- to ALL+.
It's a great product that's been on sale for so many years as a standard, and it's easy to see why.
It's also good for people who tend to hit the ball with their hands because of the bounce of the equipment, to develop the sense of hitting the ball with their body.
As the title says, the grip is simply amazing.
The flat shape, like a slightly chamfered angular ST, fits the hand very well.
The finish of the wood is very smooth and dry, and it feels like you want to touch it even when you don't need to.
