Among all-wood blades, this one has good bounce and holds the ball well. It's a 9-ply blade, but the plies are thin so there's some flex too — I think it's the kind of blade a lot of people are looking for. The top sheet is hard, but the wood underneath is soft, so you get just the right feel. I think it's a really good blade.

Right now I'm using Turbo Blue, but I wanted something a bit softer, so I put on a Neo2, which not many people use, and it feels just right. It's easier to get spin on, and tricky no-spin balls come out well too, but the speed is a little bit lacking.

The review below mine is a bit off, but this is actually a really good blade. The top sheet is hard, but since balsa is used inside, the feel is really nice. This was my first time using a 9-ply blade, and I was surprised the plies were thin with a fair amount of flex. Speed and spin are both extremely high, which is great, but compared to a regular all-wood blade it flies a lot, so control might be a bit harder.

I used to use the Clipper Wood before, and this one is even heavier, and it feels like it has more power and spin. I'd recommend it to power players.

The top ply is incredibly hard, but maybe because the wood underneath is soft, the feel on contact wasn't as hard as I expected. The trajectory goes upward, draws an arc, and drives straight into the table. I think this blade suits harder rubbers. I have a 51 on it, and it felt easier to use than a 47. The reason a harder rubber works better on this blade is that low no-spin balls are incredibly easy to handle. The trajectory and sound barely change. And when you get a solid impact, it's basically a one-shot kill. Mixing up low no-spin returns and then muscling through a weak third ball with power — this blade lets you play that game. That said, it's heavy. My total racket weight is 194 grams. I can't imagine elementary or middle schoolers being able to swing it through properly. It's also not a great match with soft rubbers, and it's expensive, so you need to be prepared before buying. But if it fits you, I think it's worth committing to for life. If you're a player who's really confident in your power, maybe give it a try.
