Hurricane NEO 2 with Neo sponge breaks the limits of water based glue. This rubber has the famous power and control of classical Hurricane 2 and does not require a special tuning. It is recommended for varied fast loop attacks with low ball trajectory. Sponge – Hard. Strategy – OFF.

    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
Kyokuhyo NEO 2 is gaining exceptional reviews for its unparalleled spin generation, establishing itself as the premier sticky rubber for advanced players focused on spin-dominant tactics and Chinese-style play. However, its low speed and demanding technique requirements limit appeal to aggressive attacking players or defensive players in distant positions.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Extraordinary spin quantity surpasses other rubbers, devastating in drives and cuts
    • Low bounce and slow ball speed unsuitable for speed-focused attacks
    • Excellent short-game techniques with strong stickiness for serves and pushes
    • Requires significant skill and strength due to high sensitivity to opponent spin
    • Optimized for close-to-table play, insufficient distance for back-court positions
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveThe spin application is extraordinary, producing heavy balls that confuse opponents. Switching from tension rubber reveals remarkable spin generation and ball trajectory that exceeds expectations.
▽ CriticalThe lack of bounce makes it very difficult for players without sufficient strength, and it is better suited for those who remain in front positions rather than retreating from the table.

tenergy family (Experience: More than 20 years) High-flying rubber for beginners

      Reviews by user

This rubber flies quite a bit, so you need to be careful with it. It's for beginners - beginners, beginners - so I think advanced players would find it a bit lacking.

Donburi Goku (Experience: 2〜3 years) An addictive tackiness

      Reviews by user

I have this mounted on the reverse side of a Chinese-style penhold.

The way the ball grips the rubber on topspin drives and chiquitas, how easy it is to receive with... it's really good.

I've only played three sessions with it since mounting it, but I want to try a lot more with it.

      Ah (Experience: 2〜3 years) Addictive

      Reviews by user

The amount of spin and slight softness are the appeal.
Chop with this and it doesn't come back.
Even in humidity, the spin still holds up within a tolerable range.

      That's the general feel.

Lazzard man (Experience: 4〜5 years) Try this if Hurricane Neo3 lacks spin for you

      Reviews by user

I used to use Hurricane Neo 3, but
it started feeling like it had dropped off a bit, so I switched to this one. I did notice a drop in speed, but the feel is like a fairly hard spin-oriented tension rubber.
The spin is clearly better than Neo 3!

Middle school pen grain (Experience: 2〜3 years) Player skill is key

      Reviews by user

I've been using this rubber for about a year now.
My game is roughly 70% block, 30% topspin drive, so blocking is my main focus. This rubber lets you really keep blocks under control. That said, if you don't catch the ball right in the center, the strong tackiness will grab your spin - that takes experience and skill to handle. Also, because of the strong tackiness, blocks come out unpredictably. There's a real range to the ball quality on blocks - sometimes it skids through, sometimes it comes out as a knuckle ball. I often see opponents make a confused "huh?" face. It's a very strong weapon in tournaments too.
On drives, you can hit powerful balls with a lot of spin. I think you can also produce shots that get a second acceleration and skid through right near the opponent. Catching the ball properly makes for a really good shot.
That said, people often say tacky rubbers are unusable without good swing speed... But personally, I think being easy to keep under control on blocks is one of its real strengths. It won't suit everyone, but depending on your budget, why not give it a try?
If I had to name one drawback, it would be humidity from the weather.
      Sorry for the long post.

      Sublime (Experience: 4〜5 years)

      Reviews by user

The spin is amazing - nowhere near the same league as spin-focused tension rubbers. The power on topspin drives is also different from your average tacky rubber. It's stable too, so spin is never something I worry about.

Maruta (Experience: 4〜5 years) Easy to use

      Reviews by user

I used to dislike tacky rubbers, but this one was easier to use than I expected. The sound of the hit is almost metallic, and I can hit the ball exactly how I want. The speed is decent too.
