It's a 7-ply blade, but the power on the ball is a bit underwhelming compared to 5-ply blades. If anything it's better suited to rapid-fire topspin drives, so I can't recommend it to anyone who wants to go for one big shot. Mine weighed 89g, so I do think it's still a fairly bouncy example. Also, the grip on this blade is thinner than the same maker's Latica and so on, but feels a bit thicker than Butterfly's Korbel, so I think a lot of women would find it just about right. The thickness was perfect for me, but I'm not a fan of the surface finish(?). It's hard and doesn't absorb sweat, so it got slippery. Even with a flared grip it felt like it could slip out of my hand, so I probably couldn't use the ST grip version of this one.
Anyway, it's suited to close-to-the-table play. I think it's the kind of standard performance that pairs well with short pips.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness Little soft
