Leaves is an allround 5-ply wood blade from Nittaku. It is medium in weight with a slightly compact design. Excellent for all strokes of the game. Soft feel with great hang time for spin.

Good points
- Control is excellent. Whether you drop back away from the table or fight close to the table, control is good enough that you can play a normal game.
- Easy to put spin on the ball. The feel is good, and the sensation of putting spin on the ball is easy to understand.
- It's a bit on the heavy side, so as long as you have the power, you can hit good shots.

Novice kid (Experience: ４〜５ years) A blade for learning basic technique

I'm using the blade with Jamin already glued on.
As a beginner blade, the weight is neither too heavy nor too light — just the right weight for before stepping up to the next level.
As is common with beginner blades, the head is on the smaller side and it's control-oriented. This one's the same.
You have to catch the ball properly to hit it well.
Also, since it doesn't fly or spin much on its own, you naturally develop the technique of swinging through and generating spin yourself.The grip is on the smaller side, so it's easy to hold for children, women, and people with small hands.
It's quite similar to Butterfly's "Exter IV."Some people might think it's heavy for a beginner blade, but if you plan to keep playing table tennis long-term, I really think it's better to get used to this weight now — it'll definitely pay off later.
If you're just playing for fun, though, picking a different, lighter blade would also be fine.

My first blade was also the Reeves.
It's control-oriented and was reasonably easy to use.
The downside would be that it's a bit heavy, I guess?

This is a beginner blade similar to the Tesura. I'd call it more "beginner" than "absolute entry-level." If it's your very first blade, it might be a bit hard to handle, and you might not be able to swing through properly? Once you've built up the basics like forehand hitting, you can move on to slightly more advanced things like serve technique. It'll last you a year (I'm dead serious).

Adhesive tension (Experience: ２〜３ years) Pairs well with any rubber

Right now I have a tacky-tension rubber on it, but since it doesn't bounce as much as carbon, drives come out at just the right speed even with a tacky-tension rubber. Also, I've got Rasanter R47 UMAX on the backhand, and combined with Rasanter's bounce, my backhand drives get seriously sharp, lol.
