I bought this because my Zhu Shihe broke and it's discontinued, so it's hard to find.
I also considered options like the Diode V, but I'm not a fan of thin, flexy blades, so I went with this Spline N3 instead.
At first I was a little surprised by how fast the ball leaves the blade, given the thickness.
My drives also gave me trouble at first — falling into the net or sailing long — because the ball-holding feel is different from the Zhu Shihe, but once I got the hang of it people told me the ball felt heavier than with the Zhu Shihe.
Also, as a chopper who wants to reliably put away finishing shots, the Spline N3's smash is excellent. That makes sense given how quickly the ball leaves the thicker blade, and I'm especially happy with that part.
At first glance you might worry that with the ball leaving so fast and with so much bounce, the chops would suffer, but actually my chops didn't feel like they carried too far. Against strong balls it holds up well, it pairs nicely with long pips on the backhand, and it's easy to cut low and sharp. Pushes are also relatively easy to spin, so I'd definitely recommend this to anyone using a thicker chopper blade.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness little hard

It has a lot of bounce, but since the surface layer is willow it absorbs the shock, so it springs back nicely on counters but stays controlled on chops.
At 6.5mm the blade is on the thick side, so I think it's a bit hard to put spin on the ball.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness Little soft
