I was originally using a 5-ply blade, and when I switched to this one I was surprised at how much it bounced. And being 7-ply, it feels heavy — depending on the hardness and thickness of the rubber you use, the total weight can end up over 195g, so you might need to adjust for that. Being wood, it holds the ball to a certain degree, but since it's a blade that flies fairly well, loop drives might be a bit harder to put on. Then again, that's probably just my own skill
Backhand short pips were easy to play too. And it looks cool, so I'd recommend it as a second or third blade.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness little hard

I had this mysterious yips-like condition where I completely lost strength on receives, especially when the ball was jammed in tight, but I got hold of a discontinued blade called the SK7α at a table tennis club. The blade itself weighs a hefty 103g. I figured it might be too much, but decided to use it anyway. My Hurricane Blue weighs 57g, and my Attack 8 only 30g, so the total comes to 192g — I thought I'd manage somehow, and I've been using it. For net play especially, I don't have to worry about how much force to use since I can just swing with the blade's own weight, so that yips-like feeling doesn't happen. I thought the weight would make it impossible to switch strokes quickly, but it's fine. It's just a bit too hard, so I can't produce a soft, high arcing loop. In matches I used to get tense on receives and make weird mistakes a lot, but since switching to this blade I don't get as tense or make those weird mistakes anymore. It's perfect if you play an unorthodox, low-bouncing Chinese rubber on your forehand. The SK7 Classic is inexpensive, made by Butterfly, and I think it's the best.

An Adventure Concerning Cats (Experience: １１〜２０ years) A good old-fashioned blade

This is a reissue of the SK7, which many top players used around 15 years ago. Lately, blades with special materials have become the mainstream and the number of 7-ply users has dropped, but this is still a really excellent blade.
True to a 7-ply blade, it checks all three boxes — heavy, hard, and thick — and has that distinctive good feel of wood. On offense, you can return the ball without losing to your opponent's power, and on defense you can control it firmly. Blocking in particular is really easy when paired with a soft rubber. Compared to 7-ply blades from other manufacturers, I'd put this one in the harder, more offensive category. I'd recommend it for wood-blade users who want more power, or for players who've been using special-material blades but want a better feel off the wood.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness little hard

You can hit sharp, heavy shots with this! It's a 7-ply blade with a 6.8mm thickness, roughly 10 to 15 grams heavier than other blades. It'll bury your opponent's counters and blocks into the net
Because the blade itself is 7-ply and 6.8mm thick, it has real weight, so the speed is pretty good too. Being all-wood, the control is also excellent — aside from the weight, it's easy to handle. I think you can get spin on your serves too once you get the knack. It's a simple build with no special materials, so it's affordably priced.
If I only mention the good points...
it does have downsides too — this is a distinctive blade I'd never recommend to a beginner
It's heavier than a normal blade, which inevitably slows down every swing. Pros don't like the slower swing speed until they get used to it, so basically none of them use blades like this
These days there are plenty of carbon blades that are light and have just as much power... but if you dislike carbon blades or blades with special materials mixed in, and you want serious firepower from pure wood, this is the blade for you. Way too heavy.
The speed is amazing, but
it just doesn't take spin.
The ball leaves the rubber pretty fast, so my impression is it flies off
before the spin can really grip.
Feels like it's for advanced players.

Junior high student at a table tennis powerhouse school (Experience: ２〜３ years) Heavy. I think this blade will divide players' preferences.

This blade is heavy, plain and simple, and I think for a lot of people, once you add rubbers on top, it gets too heavy to even swing for a drive. But the destructive power of a full swing, combined with the blade's weight, delivers devastating speed and power. Serves also cut well too... but rather than a blade for putting spin on the ball, I'd recommend it for players who do power rallies and power drives, making use of the heavy weight.
If the heavy weight doesn't bother you at all, I think it's an easy blade to use.I can't really recommend it for women though...

The first thing I thought when I picked up this blade was: heavy! Way too heavy...! I guess that's what you get with a 7-ply blade. But honestly, this blade is the strongest, lol
Drive → When you swing through properly, it's about as fast as an outer-carbon blade, and the ball goes in deep! Loop drives go in just as deep too, with a ton of spin.
Block → Being 7-ply, it's easy to return blocks.
Counter → Easy to do! You won't lose out against your opponent's drive.
Push → Easy to do, and it grips for spin. Some people might find it a bit tricky, but for the most part it's fine.
Serve → Tons of spin!
Other techniques are easy to control too since it's an all-wood blade, and it's easy to put spin on the ball. It also pairs great with tacky rubber, short pips, and long pips! This blade really doesn't care what rubber you put on it.
I think this blade is easy to use if you have some muscle strength! A junior-high student with decent strength could probably just barely handle it.
It's a blade with power close to a special-material blade, combined with the stability of wood. The grip design is cool too, so please give it a try!Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness little hard
