The Maplewood NCT V is a 5-ply blade that is exceptional for playing an aggressive game with control. The Maplewood NCT V is a new addition to the Hardwood blade series that includes Rosewood and Ebenholz. An outstanding long trajectory when hitting spinny balls is a great strength of this blade, while extra touch makes execution of your shots a dream come true.

Kaede (Experience: 2〜3 years) Refreshing hitting feel

      Player reviews

I bought the lightest one out of the several available (84g).
It's an all-wood blade so it's very bouncy. Of course it also has that characteristic wood flexibility, which makes flicks and blocks over the table really easy.
Someone who uses it told me "the feel on contact is similar to a violin," and since it's made from the same maple wood, that actually made sense to me.

Shinji (Experience: More than 20 years) A beautiful racket

      Player reviews

I used this before my current Acoustic. STIGA blades are simple and bring out the natural beauty of the wood itself. This maple wood uses the same type of maple used in baseball bats for the surface ply, and unlike other blades, its standout feature is a beautiful, clear white color. The natural wood grip with the white trim line — it's just fantastic! If there were a "Design of the Year" award, this blade wouldn't be out of place winning it. The feel isn't a dense, solid-core sensation; instead it has a moderate amount of flight with a dry-sounding hit, as if it were made from a lighter-density material. I think it suits a fast-paced playing style close to the table. It looks like STIGA is redesigning their lineup going forward, but I hope they keep true to STIGA's design language the way they always have.

It's a 5-ply wood blade so it doesn't feel too heavy, but I never got overpowered by my opponent's shots.
Also, the blade has just the right hardness, so it doesn't bounce too much, and I could swing fully and get good spin on the ball.
The feel is nice too, so overall I think it's an easy racket to use.
