It's 5 wood plies plus 2 inner carbon plies, with a bloodwood top ply, so on light hits you get a somewhat harder feel coming through to your hand. The blade is thin and flexes properly under a hard hit, so you can hit a spinny drive even from mid-distance. I think a slightly softer rubber suits it well. It also pairs well with short pips — it doesn't fly off too much, and if you snap the shot you can still get a fast ball. Overall there's no technique that feels hard to pull off with it. That said, it doesn't have any particularly sharp standout performance either, but the blade itself is unusual and not many people around me use it, so it suits people who like unusual equipment or care about looks. Otherwise, I think a STIGA all-wood blade or a typical inner blade would do just fine.

On paper, since it combines bloodwood and carbon, you'd picture a hard blade, but in actual use the ball doesn't release all that fast, and it's easy to put spin on. I feel like a typical 7-ply blade would send the ball further. Even players used to all-wood blades can use this without feeling out of place.

I used this blade and felt very satisfied. It really resonated with hitting faster in that second stroke. Even though the blade is very thin, it gives high-spin forehand topspin drives.

I used to use blades from the Avalox series a long time ago.
Every one of them had strong flex and was perfect for topspin drives.
This blade also has good flex, and it feels like the hard surface material combined with the inner carbon is what sends the ball flying.
Even though it's a special-material blade, it flexes properly, and it puts more spin on the ball than you'd expect from a special-material blade.
Whether it's hitting rallies, serves, or blocks, there's nothing it struggles with — I'd call it an honor-student kind of blade.
That said, I didn't feel any one standout, exceptional trait.
I think it's an easy blade to use for anyone from beginner or intermediate up through advanced players.

I'd never bought an Avalox blade other than the pure wood ones before, so this was my first. It's so thin that at first I couldn't even tell it had carbon in it, but once you move to mid-distance play, it responds well to hard shots and gives you good distance — it turned out to be a really nice blade.
