NO.1 table tennis review site

I've been trying this blade for three weeks now — and it's great. Balanced, solid, offensive-minded character. It shines on blocks and all kinds of topspin. A very good speed/control ratio.
It works well with medium and high-speed tension rubbers.
Great job, Avalox.

I also used this back when Nittaku was the distributor. Picking it up again after a long time, it definitely has that classic Avalox feel. Plain bounce isn't its strong point, but if you add spin and flex the blade to launch the ball, you can get a decent amount of distance. It's a racket that works well for everyone from beginners to advanced players.

Being a blade that was once used by the Chinese national team, it really has a lot of flex. It's soft, so it pairs nicely with tacky rubbers and feels great.
These days though, pairing it with a hard tension rubber is probably the safer bet if you're aiming for comfortable table tennis.

Since the P900 was good, I tried this one too.
My first impression is that it's a soft blade.
Really soft.
It feels similar to Kong Linghui's style.
Well, it was a blade used in China back in the day, so it's no surprise it feels similar.
With that in mind I tried putting tacky rubber on it, but I can't really say the bounce is great.
The ball-holding you only get from a 5-ply, the sound of wood on impact — you could call it an ideal 5-ply blade.
These days, with hard plywood blades from brands like STIGA becoming trendy, this might actually feel refreshing by contrast.
My impression is that it's close to Liu Shiwen's blade without the ZLC — it feels a bit similar to Liu Shiwen too.

At this point I wouldn't really recommend tacky rubber on this blade. If you're confident in your muscle strength, you might be able to generate tremendous spin with tacky rubber, but for me it wasn't possible, lol lol

Making up for the bounce with a spin-oriented tension rubber and balancing it out that way might make it easier to use.
It's also inexpensive,
so it works as a first blade for beginners,
and I think you could just keep using it long-term as is.

If you're looking for a soft 5-ply blade, or if you're a beginner who doesn't know which blade to buy, I'd definitely recommend this one.

When I heard Avalox was making a comeback, I dipped into my savings for this day and bought every version they made. Just like the P700, even with tacky rubber on it, the bounce and amount of spin are unbelievable. The feel is different from the P700, though — a nice, pleasant medium.
