Z1 with its medium pored sponge and a short, wide pimple structure is the hardest and fastest of the three Bluestorm versions.
It has immense power. However, in order to engage with so much horse power competent driver is required behind the wheel. A well trained player, master of the fastest game, will find Z1 to be a lethal weapon.
Topspins with this rubber are quick as lightning!
- Pimples in
- Superior speed performance with excellent ball extension
- Good spin and stability when hitting with compression
- Exceptional cost-performance at around 4,000 yen
- Softer feel than hardness rating makes it easy to handle
- Short-range techniques like chop tend to float

Ball-holding feel is better than I expected.
If you don't swing enough the ball drops short, so this is a rubber where you want to really swing through it.
I especially found smashing easy with this one.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

I borrowed a friend's and hit with it.
It doesn't really give you that "lifting" feel, and when I used my normal swing it just went straight into the net.
The amount of spin was average, and it gave me the impression of a Rakza 7 that flies a bit more — at the same price point I think V20 is the better upgrade.
Also, at the same hardness level, Rasanter R48 or "Jikihai" feel more reassuring and easier to use.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

Kanpo (Experience: 2〜3 years) Really 47.5 degrees? Great dwell, amazing power!!

I used the red 2.1mm for about three months! Up until now I'd been using a 45-degree rubber, and I stepped up to something a bit harder from there... but I didn't really feel much difference? This is just my personal impression, but it felt more like around 45-46 degrees.
My impression after using it: it's got good bounce! It depends on the blade too, but you get quite a lot of speed! Drives are also easy to hit! My opponent said it has power but the spin is about average. I think that's partly because my swing is more of a "hit" style than a "brush" style, lol.
If you really sink the ball in against backspin, you get some nasty shots! Spin was about average here too. Lastly, for the short game, pushes felt like they'd fly a little long, lol, but don't worry, it's not unusable, lol. Flicks land nicely too, which is good!
I also tried it on the backhand, and maybe because the contact feels different, drives had more pace on the backhand, so next time I switch I think I'll put it on the backhand too! I think it's totally usable on both sides! For hard hitters I think Z1 Turbo would be better! Please give it a try!All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

This is for backhand use. You can't produce the kind of heavy, carrying ball you'd get with Tenergy, but there's a feeling that spin gets put on the ball automatically just by swinging forward, so there's zero fear when facing backspin. It feels a bit lacking if you play from further back, but I think it's the best match for players who play close to the table and crank on tons of spin.
In terms of feel, it's roughly

It's a spin-oriented tension rubber, but it also gives you speed and distance,
so topspin rallies are super easy to play.
Loop drives gripped better than I expected too.
After about three months of using it, I felt like the grip on the ball had dropped off a bit.
The listed hardness is 47.5, but it felt more like around 45 to me.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

This can seriously do everything. Especially the backhand drive against backspin — the speed and how the ball dips down are just ridiculous. Blocking is easy too, it's honestly amazing. But I think the one downside is that pushes don't bite as sharply.
