The Azalea blades draw from the culture and history of Japanese Table Tennis. Developed in close collaboration with Japanese female players in search for the perfectly balanced Allround blade, the focus is on lightweight and outstanding feeling and control. Like all STIGA blades, the Azalea Allround is beautifully handcrafted in Sweden, with a smooth top surface with an even softer second layer in order to increase the soft touch needed for controlled and balanced play.

      Novice kid (Experience: 4〜5 years) A high-performance all-round racket

      Player reviews

It seems to have been developed as a racket for women, and at under 80g it's really easy to handle.
It's a 5-ply blade, but the speed surprised me — more than I expected (though that's only relative to other 5-ply blades).
The spin has that typical 5-ply feel, and with the flex it's easy to put spin on the ball.
Drives are powerful too. Even with tension rubber, the control feels stable. The stability is impressive — even if your form breaks down a bit, the ball still lands on the table.

Advanced players will probably find the speed lacking, but up through intermediate level, you can more than make up for it with the right rubber.
It keeps the good qualities of a 5-ply blade while being even lighter, which makes it feel like the ideal racket for women or anyone without a lot of arm strength.
It also works as a first racket for beginners. I think it pairs well with control-oriented rubbers or high-elasticity ones.
If you swap in tension rubber as your level goes up, this is a blade you can keep using happily for a long time.
A genuinely great blade — exactly what you'd expect from STIGA.
