God The spin, lol

It puts out tremendous speed, but the ball leaves the rubber so quickly that it's hard to get spin on it. And yet, serves and pushes grip really well and get plenty of spin lol. It's a bit of a weird rubber. Also, pair it with a bouncy blade and it turns into an absolute handful lol

I used this the whole time back in the glue era. Compared to today's spin-oriented tension rubbers, it's clearly lower on spin and the ball flies in a straighter line.
That said, when it comes to speed, it's not inferior to modern rubbers at all.
It may not grip the ball as much as today's rubbers, but if you brush it properly you can still generate plenty of spin.
It's also less affected by the opponent's spin, so you can put real power into flat hitting strokes.
Now that we've moved to plastic balls, all the attention goes to spin-heavy rubbers, but since plastic balls make smashing easier compared to celluloid, I think this rubber can shine in a different way than it used to.
It's also light in weight and produces a straighter ball flight, so I think it's a rubber that can score points for players who play close to the table.
As for blades to pair it with, I'd go with a pure wood blade with a harder top ply, or an inner-composite blade if using special materials, for a good balance.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

I used to have this on a Mace (now discontinued).
I used it on both forehand and backhand, but I'd say it suits the backhand more.The sponge is soft, but the sheet was a bit on the hard side.
Because of that, a thin, grazing contact style was also possible. It's tricky though (lol)
For serves and the short game, using that grazing feel lets you keep the ball short and dead. But if your swing gets slow, it doesn't cut at all...For drives, if you really sink the ball in when you hit, it grips more spin than you'd expect.
It's interesting how different the ball speed is between hitting with just the sheet versus sinking into the sponge.
For blocks, just a light push forward turned into a near-winner almost every time (lol)All Speed Spin Control Hardness Soft

Bryce has become much easier to use. Bryce usually has a reputation as nothing but a rubber that flies too much, but this version is on the softer side and very easy to use! It's not suited for choppers, but I think it'll satisfy people who put it on the backhand for blocking, or on the forehand if you're simply looking for a rubber with plenty of bounce!

Incredibly fast!
For a player who swings hard like Kreanga, this would definitely be a weapon!
The stop felt a little tricky, but pushes gripped the ball well and were easy to control!
With an all-wood blade, I think you could probably even chop decently with it, lol

The rebound is incredible, and since the sponge is soft, the ball just flies.
For drives, it was easier to hit with a thicker contact image.

The sponge feels soft, but the sheet doesn't feel all that soft to me.
The rubber has good firmness overall, and it doesn't feel floppy or mushy.When you sink the ball in and drive, it grips more spin than you'd expect. It doesn't have that artificial "grabbiness" you get from recent spin-oriented tension rubbers, but the sheet's grip itself isn't bad. A powerful player should be able to generate plenty of spin with it. That said, it's not a rubber that makes spin easy to produce.
But the real selling point of this rubber is the sense of speed. Even from far off the table you can drive straight through — the speed is insane. Spin amount barely matters at that point (lol)
I'm a chopper, and chopping with this was hopeless. It just flies over. Cut it and the ball sails off into the distance (lol)All Speed Spin Control
