A long pimple out rubber with profiled pimple surface. The thin pimples made out of soft rubber, support the possibility to produce dangerous defensive shots. It is possible to bring in your own chopping variation, which almost all professional players prefer.

Highly praised for its balance between spin variation and ease of use, this rubber suits a wide range of playing styles from choppers to hybrid attackers. However, its low speed and limited distance generation require careful consideration for backcourt play and against aggressive shots.

Middle pen you (Experience: 2〜3 years) Amazing variation!

      Reviews by user

I used this back in my penhold pips days. I bought it after hearing it produces the most variation among the Curl series. With decent control and huge variation, you can really keep your opponent off balance! Top players have used it too, so it fits a wide range of playing styles, from penhold pips to chopper.

Kyoto Leopard User (Experience: 2〜3 years) Great variation despite low bounce

      Reviews by user

I think this is a good rubber.
It might be a little hard to control at first, but since the bounce is weak, it never gets as uncontrollable as something like Glass.
It's difficult to control, but not to the point of being unruly.
And blocks really do have bite.
Because it's a soft long pips, the spin reversal is quite impressive.
Chop-style short pushes have bite too, and even a plain block can make the ball drop unpredictably for the opponent.
I think this is a great rubber even for people who aren't great at chop-style short pushes - though of course it's even better if you can do them.
If you're using something like Feint Long and want more variation but don't want pips that bounce, or if you're using something like Glass and want a lower-bounce pips that keeps more of its variation, I'd recommend this rubber.
This is a long pips rubber I really want people to try at least once.

The feel depends on the blade.
With my Def Play Senso it felt hard.
      Quick ball release.
It feels like you're just sending the opponent's topspin drive right back.
A weaker drive doesn't get much spin on it.
      Extremely strong against smashes.
It stops, it wobbles, it changes. Value for money is amazing.

Playing away from the table is tough, but close to the table you can control the ball and throw your opponent off with pushes.

      Reviews by user

It's harder to handle than the sponge version of the same rubber, but the OX makes it easier to produce variation. The variation and sharpness are excellent.

(Experience: More than 20 years) Easy to block with

      Reviews by user

It's a rubber that's easy to block with if you catch the ball right as it bounces up, close to the table.
Pushes are hard to put a sharp cut on, though.
If you flat-block a hard smash from your opponent, you get a pretty nasty knuckle ball.
Rather than cutting the ball sharply with a dropping block, this might be a rubber whose character shows more when you produce those quirky knuckle balls.
For pip-style pushes, the spin-reversal ability seems quite high.

Apprentice cutter artists The No.1 long pips for spin

      Reviews by user

Its spin-reversal can't beat Grass, but the spin it produces is amazing.
The first time I hit a topspin drive with it, the ball arced in and landed right near the net. Once you get used to it, you can play shots reminiscent of short pips, like smashes.
