This was the world's first tension rubber, and I used it exclusively for a long time.
If you use this rubber today, it hits back hard and the ball flies dead straight.
If you're used to today's spin-oriented tension rubbers, the ball feels very linear.
In terms of spin, I think both the amount of spin and how easily it grips the ball fall short.
That said, because it's not very sensitive to incoming spin and hits back hard, I think it can still shine in a game built mainly around flat hitting.
It also doesn't misbehave much over the table, so flicks and stops are easy to do.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

I used this back when I'd switched over to an offensive style for a while.
This was on the backhand of a Korbel, so putting it on something like a carbon blade might give a different impression.It has a strong sense of wanting to shoot forward, and it's a rubber with a real feeling of speed.
It was especially good for counter-style blocking. With today's rubbers, the ball tends to grip and come out with a bit of a high arc. The Bryce flies straight, right where you aim it.When you catch the ball right on the sweet spot for a drive, it does get a decent amount of spin.
The plain grip of the topsheet isn't bad. It's the right hardness for the ball to sink in. It's stable.
That said, something like the chiquita is tough. At least with my swing speed...All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

A rubber I used to use. I had it on my forehand - the drive is fast and curves, so if you're thinking about moving up to Tenergy, I'd say start with the Bryce series first.

Speed-wise alone, it holds its own against modern tension rubbers, but when you look at the overall picture including spin and stability, I think it's a bit overpriced for what you get. I'd recommend it to people who like the feel of Bryce, or who want to play a fast-paced style of table tennis that mostly ignores spin!

I have a strong image of it as an old-school rubber, and I don't use it anymore, but I got to try a Bryce that an acquaintance had, and the ball flew off pretty nicely — it left a good impression.

I used to use this, and it's not bad at all. If you really bite into the ball, it grips well for spin and the speed is good.

I used to use this! (I'm on Tenergy 05 now.)
It was the first high-tension rubber I ever used, and I remember being blown away by it.
