    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
Evaluated as an excellent all-around high-elasticity rubber for backhand play with mixed opinions on performance. While praised by older generations as a superb tension rubber, multiple reviewers note it falls short compared to modern high-spin tensioned rubbers.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Backhand drive is stable and excellent against backspin
    • High control performance suitable for beginners
    • No standout speed or spin, overall balanced performance
    • Retains characteristics of classic Japanese rubbers
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveWhen used on the backhand, it excels in all areas and significantly improves lifting backspin balls. It has great bounce and no drawbacks whatsoever.
▽ CriticalLacks grip, making spin difficult to apply and speed is not fast. An affordable control-oriented rubber would be sufficient instead.

Nothing about it stands out, like speed or spin, but overall it's easy to use.
You can really sink the ball into it, so topspin drives feel great to hit, and blocking is stable too.

    • Hydrogen ion

Hydrogen ion (Experience: 6〜10 years) Doesn't suit the modern no-glue, no-booster era at all. It's this different just from being 100% natural rubber, yet Nittaku won

      Reviews by user

As the title says, compared to today's German tension rubbers, it falls short on bounce and grip.
The topsheet is so good that I can't be the only one wishing they'd remake it for the plastic-ball, no-glue era.
Some people say it has no grip on the ball, but that's only natural compared to something like Tenergy — every rubber from before that era is the same way.
These days I pick up unused ones online and have fun playing with bicycle rubber cement, and it's still special. The soft, cream-colored sponge swells up nicely.
The loop especially has great bite and few mishits. Chop-killer drives and second-ball attacks are both really easy to do.
Put it on your backhand and it's rock solid.
It was the perfect rubber for someone looking for a delicate touch that works from powerful spin attacks to fine adjustments.
You just don't get rubbers like this anymore. It has that good old classic domestic feel.

      Yutchi @ cut A versatile high-bounce rubber

      Reviews by user

It's an all-purpose high-bounce rubber. It's like Mark V in that it's easy to get spin on, but the absolute amount of spin is low. It seems like a rubber that doesn't suit modern table tennis, but it lets you put spin on the ball very consistently, and I think it makes a good partner for beginner and intermediate players improving their technique. That said, having no real downsides also means it has no standout strengths, so the rubber won't win points for you on its own in a match. How about trying it once to help level up?

Potato-kun. (Experience: 11〜20 years) Nothing special, really.

      Reviews by user

There's no real grip on the ball, so it's hard to get spin on it.
      The speed isn't fast either.
Only the control is good, so it's easy to use.
Rather than buying this, I think a cheap control-oriented rubber would be enough.

      Super easy to use!
This one's really easy to use — on the backhand it's easy to lift the ball and it grips well too. Once you get used to it, this is a great rubber.

I used it on my backhand. High performance in every way. I wanted to put it on my main blade. I could lift backspin balls really well. The bounce was great. It had no downsides at all. Definitely give it a try.
