This sticky rubber is highly rated for its excellent spin performance and easy-to-use soft sponge, making it ideal for beginners. However, it has a notable drawback in speed generation, making it better suited for control-oriented playing styles.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Soft sponge provides good ball retention and ease of use
    • Excellent spin performance for a sticky rubber
    • Lacks speed and requires full-swing commitment
    • Ideal for sticky rubber beginners
    • Heavy weight requires careful racket selection
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveThe soft sponge creates excellent feel on flat hits, making it a versatile rubber suitable for serves, receives, and drives. Highly recommended for sticky rubber beginners.
▽ CriticalSpeed generation is insufficient, requiring full force to achieve power. Even aggressive loop drives lack adequate spin, demanding consistently active technique from the player.

Earl Grey Good for practicing a full swing Verified Purchase

      It really doesn't fly,
but since the ball doesn't fly off on its own, you end up learning to swing with your whole body properly.
Even swinging hard, the ball lands on the table easily, so I love being able to swing with full power.
Among Chinese tacky rubbers, the sponge is soft and holds the ball well, so it's easy to control too.
Blasting through the ball for a kill shot seems tough with this one, so I'd recommend it for a rally-focused, attacking style.

The tackiness is about the same as the basic type.
The sponge is soft, so you get power even on light hits, so I'd recommend this to anyone about to start using Chinese tacky rubber for the first time.

sho-go (Experience: 11〜20 years) The sponge's softness is...

      Reviews by user

A practice partner gave me this, so here are my thoughts after hitting with it.
Being tacky, it doesn't fly much.
But since the sponge is relatively soft, you can feel the ball sinking into it.
If you like your tacky rubbers rock hard, you might find this lacking, but it could be a good one to try if you're just getting into tacky rubbers.
That said, even though the ball sinks into the sponge, you won't get spin or speed unless you open the racket face and brush the ball - you can't cut corners with this rubber even with a soft sponge, so you always have to brush the ball properly.

Serves and the short game stay low and spin easily, so the strength of the tacky sheet really shows there.
The rubber is on the heavy side, so if you're mindful of your blade's total weight, you'll want to watch the weight of the rubber on the other side or the blade itself.

Kiyoshi Kiyoshi (Experience: 4〜5 years) For some reason, flat hits feel great

      Reviews by user

The feel on flat hits was great, thanks to the soft sponge. Being a tacky rubber, of course there's plenty of spin too. It's a versatile rubber that handles serves, receives, drives, and topspin rallies - everything. I'd recommend it to tacky rubber beginners too.

Yokochin (Experience: 2〜3 years) Doesn't bounce!

      Reviews by user

It's banned by the rules, but I'm reviewing it with speed glue applied (5-6 coats). First off, the sheet grabs the ball well and spin comes easily. Speed is there too, but it flew too much and my drives kept going long. Hitting it dead center made this "pakiiin! piin!" metallic sound a lot lol. The downside is it's just too heavy - too much for me to handle. So personally I'd recommend Hurricane Pro3 instead. Non-glued of course... the glue I used was Haifu speed glue.

God of Destruction (Experience: 4〜5 years) Great spin

      Reviews by user

I borrowed this from a chopper friend.
Among the Hurricane series, it's easy to use!
The spin is a bit weaker, but it's plenty satisfying for me.
For choppers just starting out with Hurricane rubbers...
As for attacking, I'm the attacking type, but I think it'll go in if you swing through properly!
There's no speed to it though.
If you've got the strength, you can probably make it work somehow.

      tough So-so...

      Reviews by user

Compared to other Hurricane rubbers, this one feels quite soft. Because it's soft, the ball sinks into the sponge more, but brushing drives don't get as much spin. I think it's really easy to use overall. It goes well with any blade, and I think it suits any playing style. I'd recommend this to anyone who wants to try tacky rubber for the first time, or to anyone using tacky rubber who prioritizes control.
