    DONIC Bluefire M2

Characteristics: Excellent balance between speed, catapult effect and feel. Recommended for: Players who like to play with Medium Hard rubbers and attach high importance to spin and speed with optimum feeling.

    The blue miracle.

Donic's new Bluefire is a completely new rubber development offering top speed. A new high-tech generation of rubbers in the proven Formula FD3-technology has been developed as a result of the perfect combination of the large pored blue sponge with an extremely spinny top surface rubber. The top rubber with its small, long pimpled-in structure lends the rubber the best possible flexibility and sensational feeling. Above all, the Bluefire is unbelievably fast with a characteristic high arc when top-spinning that enables maximum spin and increased speed.

    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveWhen driven with bite, the rubber produces a satisfying metallic sound with excellent feed. Loops generate significant spin whether using sheet bite or feed-through. The soft rubber presents no difficulties with short game strokes and produces crisp serves. No drawbacks found in use.
▽ CriticalThe rubber bounces excessively and requires adaptation to stabilize, launching easily even with light contact, demanding higher technical skill.

Yutchi @ cut Due to Tenergy's price hikes

With Tenergy getting so expensive, there's been a lot of talk about a "post-Tenergy" rubber, but in the end top players still use Tenergy. For us intermediate players though, Tenergy is just too pricey for how long it lasts. That's where Bluefire comes in! It combines spin, consistency, and arc at a really high level. Of course it's good for choppers too, but I'd recommend it especially for the backhand of attacking-style intermediate players!

If you're looking in the 4,000-5,000 yen range, this might be my top pick.
Its rival would be something in the Rasant line, I guess...
I like Rasant too, but I might actually like this one better...
It's light, the blue sponge looks cool, and the sound is satisfying too.
The bounce is just right, and the spin is quite strong.
I use it on my forehand, and it's well-balanced, so my mishits have gone down.
Also, it's nice that not many people around me use it.

It gets good spin and speed, and unlike Tenergy it doesn't have any quirks, so I think it's really easy to use.
The sponge lets the ball sink in, but it still has solid firmness, so the power on topspin drives is quite strong.

The spin is great, it's very stable, and it's really easy to use.
Whether you put it on your forehand or backhand, it bounces nicely and spins easily, so I'd recommend it to anyone who feels stuck on improving either side. `・∀・´

The speed and spin are on par with the Tenergy series. However, the bounce is almost too good, and it takes practice to keep it under control.

The sponge has a coarser cell structure, so the ball sinks in easily and control is stable.
When you hit it, there's a sense of the ball flying upward, so it's easy to lift backspin balls too.
Spin is easy to generate, but because it's soft, even a light touch sends the ball flying, so it does take some skill.
      Overall, I think it's a pretty easy-to-use rubber.

My first impression was that it's fast while still generating good spin.

I've gotten more service aces in matches. I can now serve shorter than I could with Tenergy 05.
