This new COPPA X2 offers a good balance between attacking and agressive allround table tennis.
Whether one is playing close or away from the table, speed, spin and control come naturally. Speed is of course inbuilt but durability has also been increased. An added bonus is that this rubber is well suited to produce power for a strong backhand player.
    Sponge hardness: medium-
Playing characteristics: Well balanced rubber offering both speed and control.

This rubber defies expectations in a really good way. It's very well suited to playing from mid-distance! It's for players who like to grind out topspin drives from mid-distance. Personally, I think it pairs well with an inner-ply blade!

It's a spin-oriented tension rubber that also has good bounce, and judging by the softness of the sponge, I think it's close to Tenergy 64FX — probably made with that in mind.

The basic performance is quite high, so I have no complaints. That said, like the 64FX, it feels like it's a bit lacking in a standout characteristic.

Of course, it's a very stable rubber, so I'd definitely recommend it for the backhand.

I switched my backhand rubber over from Tenergy 64.

It doesn't bounce as much as Tenergy 64, but I think its strength is that it produces more spin.

It might be closer to Tenergy 80, but it's very different in how much the ball sinks into the sponge on contact.

A key feature is that the sponge is softer than the Coppa X1.

It also really helps that flicks and stops are very easy to do.
