      Since the pips are a bit hard, pushing is easy too.

      Also, it has lower bounce than the Curl P-1, so it might be good for people who struggle handling hard shots.

      And the biggest appeal is that you can generate your own spin.
      The Curl series is about reversal power plus variation, while the Feint Long III is about stability and versatility.

      However, it doesn't spin on its own the way the Grass does.

      So a reflex chop where you just block the ball won't have much spin, lol.

      If you swing through properly, it will spin.


      I'd recommend this to
      people who struggle handling hard shots, or people who aren't looking for reversal power or variation but instead want the versatility of stability and being able to generate their own spin.

      That said, its reversal power (its ultimate sharpness) is inferior to the Curl.

      Because of the low bounce, the ball also tended to land shallow.

      Just take this as a reference.

      Anyway, it's pretty stable so it returns most balls.
      Personally, I felt the pips were harder than the Curl P-4.
      Because of that, chopping weak balls wasn't really a problem, but
      the P-4 is overwhelmingly better in terms of chop sharpness.
      Also, for push sharpness, the P-4 wins.
      For receive variety (pips drive, ease of stop), the Feint Long III wins.
      Against decent players, if they draw you into a chopping battle you'll end up losing,
      so I think this suits beginners better.

      For long pips, it's surprisingly easy to control.
      The pips bend over just the right amount, so it puts on a good amount of spin and the block is stable too.

      Control: Feint > P-4
      Handling smashes: Feint = P-4
      Handling no-spin balls: Feint > P-4

      Receive
      Push: Feint = P-4
      Short push: P-4 > Feint
      Flick: P-4 > Feint

      With Feint, it's hard to throw your opponent off with variation, and scoring off receives or variation chops is tough, but it really excels at simply chopping the ball back!
      I'd recommend it for people who don't want to mess up handling smashes or no-spin balls!
