Sergei Actually beginner-friendly for short-pips choppers?

A friend of mine had been using this on his forehand for a long time, and I always assumed it was an attacking rubber. But his serves had good spin on them and his drives spun quite well too, so I got curious and tried putting it on my backhand.
Result: I fell in love with it (lol)Chop Sponge 2 felt too soft and somehow hard to use, but on the other hand Chop Sponge itself was hard to get bite on with a flat hit...
While I was struggling with that dilemma, I found that this rubber gets good spin and stays stable even with a somewhat loose contact.
It's not overly soft either, so you can use the surface grip to chop, and the medium-hardness sponge really grabs the ball well.I had no doubts about the pushes, serves, or short game. No complaints at all there.

This is a short pips rubber my older brother used, and I'm considering switching to it myself.
First, among short pips rubbers it holds the ball well, so even someone like me who plays inverted on both sides can use it. I can't get along with Spectra, but this one works for me. And even though it's not much affected by the opponent's spin, it still generates plenty of spin itself. Depending on how you use it, it might actually spin more than a spin-oriented tension rubber. It's easy to lift the ball with a topspin drive, and even easier if you let the ball sink in a bit. You can also trade topspin rallies with it, though it doesn't have as much power as inverted rubber. The short game, like receives, is easy too, and the control is good. Hit it flat and you get that speed that's typical of short pips.
If you're putting it on one side, I'd recommend the backhand. I'd suggest it to people switching from a fast, vertical-grain pips rubber, or people switching from inverted to pips.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

I have it on my backhand. It's easy to counter-hit with, and for a short pips rubber I think it spins on the higher end. Pushes are easy too and they bite well.

It doesn't feel like it's spinning that much on your end, but apparently the opponent finds it really nasty. Since it's short pips, your pushes bite too, and you can control on the fly whether to put backspin on the ball or not, so it's easy to mix things up. If you're a chopper who likes to create variation yourself, give this a try!

It's very easy to control how much bite you put on a chop, and the cutting action is sharp.

An all-around short pips rubber with the quick ball release of pips plus spin close to inverted rubber.
It's a bit slow, but if you hit it flat it turns into a fast knuckle ball. If you brush it you get solid spin, so it's very easy to handle.
The trajectory is flat. The sheet itself doesn't grip the ball that much, so if you brush too thinly the ball drops.
It's light and soft, so I'd recommend it to beginners too.
