Black Storm The goodness of a single-ply blade

The blade head is a bit smaller, which makes it easier to swing.
It has that bounce and ball-holding feel unique to single-ply hinoki.
The backhand side is great for both short blocks and backhand drives, so it's really good in that respect.
One of the few single-ply blades you can put rubber on both sides of.

Moso (Experience: More than ２０ years) Easy to use

I use inverted rubber on both sides. Since the blade is thick, to get a good angle on backhand straight shots I've sanded down not just the finger area of the blade but also the back of the handle quite a bit. It has that solid "gripping" feel unique to single-ply blades, and the speed is more than sufficient. I'm happy with it. The downside is that with inverted rubber on both sides, it's too thick and the side tape isn't wide enough to cover it...

All-round pen (Experience: ６〜１０ years)

I like that you can still drive the ball well even after flipping the racket. It stays stable with short pips too. The backhand chiquita is easy to do as well.

Nice ball (Experience: ４〜５ years) All-round type

I wanted to try a single-ply blade, liked the shape, and picked up a light 70g one from a certain shop. Even though the catalog says 80g, and even with rubbers on both sides bringing it to around 130g (opinions are split — some people think that's too light), it has plenty of pop and no issues. The backhand side has a soft rubber, but I like the crisp "snap" feel when you hit the ball. Drives are also easy to hit. I really love that I don't have to struggle picking rubbers based on weight.
