    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
This pimpled rubber is highly evaluated for its exceptional spin performance despite being a short-pimple type, and is particularly popular among players transitioning from inverted rubber or considering backhand use. While speed is somewhat modest, its stability and ease of handling earn support from many players.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Exceptional spin performance unexpected for pimpled rubber
    • Superior control and stability characteristics
    • Well-suited for transition from inverted rubber
    • Ideal for backhand-side applications
    • Considered somewhat hard for chopper-style play
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveThis rubber delivers unexpected spin for a pimpled type, produces good speed, and offers excellent control—a nearly perfect all-rounder. It handles almost identically to inverted rubber and is unlikely to disappoint any player who tries it.
▽ CriticalFor choppers, the hardness makes it difficult to control cuts reliably. For forehand pimpled play, it leans too much toward inverted-rubber characteristics and may not suit players seeking to utilize ナックル balls effectively.

blue (Experience: 2〜3 years) Spin and speed are insane.

      Reviews by user

I used to play with Spectrum Blue and fought entirely with knuckle balls,
but switching to Spin Pips Blue really impressed me.
The spin was insane and the speed was no joke either.
On top of that, you can still get knuckle balls out of it, though it might take a bit of skill.

You can produce all kinds of balls — flat hits, backhand topspin drives, chops, you name it.
If I had to put it in one phrase, I'd call it "the perfect all-round short pips rubber."

Table software mania (Experience: More than 20 years) This is good!

      Reviews by user

I'm using the black, medium thickness version on my backhand
      Reviewing it technique by technique
Topspin drives, high arcing shots, speed, long and short, low shots — it can do it all♪
The spin is top class among short pips too
Smash & hit — not fast, but easy to flick out, so it's manageable for a spin-oriented rubber
Serve — easy to put spin on, but contact is key
Block — good at pushing, stopping, and curving the ball, but knuckle balls don't come out unless you aim for them
Receive — gets affected by spin to a moderate degree, but it's good from chiquita to flick

I've praised it quite a lot, but
this feels like a rubber that
      seasoned technicians would like
If you want to play hard-hitting tennis, a different rubber would be better
It's not a rubber that lets you blast through opponents.

A rubber that's a perfect fit for choppers
It gets more spin than Tenergy 05 or Hurricane. The speed beats Bryce Speed.

Mayu (Experience: 11〜20 years) Good rubber

      Reviews by user

My daughter, in the middle grades of elementary school, uses this on her backhand.
      The spin performance is high.
The feel is softer than I expected and it seems easy to handle. Flat hitting techniques are also easy to use, and you get good speed on hard shots.
Since it's easy to handle, it doesn't have much quirkiness, so it's not particularly hard for opponents to play against either.
It's a short pips that's close to inverted rubber.
If you're switching from inverted to short pips, I think this would make for a smooth transition.

SIMA 1st kouki (Experience: 2〜3 years) A short-pips rubber that grabs like crazy!!!

      Reviews by user

This time I switched from inverted on both sides to short pips on my backhand, and I put this rubber on — the amount of spin I could get was unbelievable for short pips‼
This rubber makes it easy to control your spin, and easy to produce knuckle balls too. On topspin drives the spin doesn't quite match inverted rubber, but it comes close. It gets more stable when you let the ball sink into the sponge. You can also block-hit it flat and get good knuckle balls. Because the ball holds well on the sponge, you'll feel a bit of the opponent's spin unless you hit through it firmly. Pushes can slip if you don't make solid contact, but if you do make solid contact, you get a really vicious backspin. Stops and blocks were also easy to control, and it was easy to manage spin overall.
This rubber holds the ball well and lets you use almost the same strokes as inverted rubber, so I'd recommend it to people like me switching from inverted to short pips. It might be a bit too "inverted-like" to suit forehand pips, but the amount of drive spin is amazing. For choppers it flies a bit too much, so it's a mixed bag.

Tatsuko (Experience: 2〜3 years) The faster version of Spinpips

      Reviews by user

It gets about as much spin as the normal Spin Pips.
I put it on as forehand pips, but it doesn't produce very nasty balls.
It might be good for penhold short pips though.
For choppers it might fly a bit too much...

If you're using it as forehand pips, Spectrum Red (which I use on another blade) seems better since it produces knuckle balls more easily.

Tenergy · Pimples Out (Experience: More than 20 years) Blue is the best

      Reviews by user

This rubber gets a ton of spin, has good speed, and is easy to control on top of that — I think it's a perfect rubber.
(You should definitely avoid the red version though)
