It grips the ball so much you'd wonder if it's really short pips.
The snap off the rubber feels great too.
It might suit players who use short pips on the forehand.

I use this on the reverse side of my Mignon R.
After watching Ito play, I switched my reverse side from inverted rubber to Morrist SP, but the control was too difficult, so I switched to this rubber instead.
As long as you don't hit it too thin, it goes in with almost the same strokes as inverted rubber.
Since it's harder than Morrist SP, the ball doesn't sink into the sponge oddly, and flat hitting is very easy.
As for knuckle balls, they barely come out during regular rallying, but when I consciously flattened the racket angle to hit flat, or countered a fast drive, I could produce a heavy ball.
Against topspin, both speed and control are flawless. You can flat-hit, spin, or block it and it goes in easily, which widens your tactical options.
Against backspin, topspin drives are easy to pull off, so it's also easy to deal with the deep pushes that short pips usually struggle with. The amount of spin is admittedly inferior to inverted rubber, but it's enough that, if your opponent thinks it's just a normal ball off short pips, you can induce an over-hit miss.
On receive, there's not much slip, which was a relief since pushes don't float up. Stops stay short, and flicks, true to short pips form, aren't affected much by spin.
I'd recommend this to anyone except players specifically looking for maximum knuckle-ball production.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

Good evening. I'm a 9th-grade girl on my school's table tennis team.
I'm left-handed.
I use Spin Pips on my backhand. Overall it's easy to put spin on, and you get a decent amount of it, so I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a good amount of spin or wants to reliably put spin on the ball.

More of a knuckle-ball rubber than a speed or spin one, I'd say. I don't like how "poppy" it feels off the racket. Also, knuckle balls are pretty annoying from the opponent's side.

My Imperial XS felt like it was getting worn out, so I picked this as a replacement spin-oriented short pips (tension) rubber.
This is my second TSP rubber...- Speed
A touch slower than the Imperial, but still plenty fast.
Smashes also produce good shots depending on your swing.- Spin
Not quite as much as inverted rubber, but I could put spin on it with almost no discomfort.
Topspin drives seem to depend a lot on skill...
Pushes bite in fine if you try to put backspin on them.- Control
This is pretty good.
It's easy to place the ball where you're aiming, and it's less affected by the opponent's spin than inverted rubber is, so it's easier to use than inverted. (just my personal impression)- Overall impression
It was ranked high on this site, so I bought it with high expectations.
As a result, my technique improved and it suited me fairly well, so I'm mostly satisfied.
However, when I lent it to a senior who plays shakehand inverted-on-both-sides attacking style, his smashes had trouble going in and he made a few more rally mistakes, so it's probably a rubber that doesn't produce much of an arc. (though that might be true of short pips in general)
So if it's your first time using short pips, it might take some time to get used to.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard
