It doesn't absorb much of the opponent's spin, so I think it's ideal for hitting solid shots.
Conversely, it's quite difficult to create spin on the ball yourself, so it's a tie in that respect.
However, in this age of spin-oriented tension balls, a ball with this kind of "unconventional" feel is quite interesting.
