    The new long pimple development

Our new rubber VIPER is a major step forward for all long pimple players blocking close to the table.

Its completely new rubber formula provides very good control so that even fast topspin shots can be handled quite easily.
Its pimples are soft and help dampening the speed of the ball.

However the main characteristic of this long pimple rubber is the low bounce it produces while blocking. Both passive blocking and chop-blocking provide a disruptive effect that will cause problems to your opponent.
This makes VIPER a highly interesting development in the field of long pimple rubbers with friction.

All standard attacking techniques with long pimples can be performed quite easily.

VIPER is the new preferred choice for blocking close to the table with long pimples, find it out for yourself!

    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
This pimple-out rubber is highly valued for its unique ball variations and balanced attack-defense capabilities, but its difficulty to handle, poor durability, and high cost present significant drawbacks. Performance varies greatly depending on the user's skill level.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Produces unique variations that disrupt opponent timing
    • Versatile for both defense and attack from various situations
    • Soft pimples provide excellent stability and control
    • Pimples wear out easily with short lifespan
    • High price creates significant cost of ownership
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveCan return even opponent's strongly-rotating drives and tricky serves by oscillating and reversing direction. Cut blocks produce intense backspin with excellent effectiveness.
▽ CriticalPimples wear easily with short durability, and the high price is a major downside. Intensive practice (6 days/week) causes pimple damage within a month, making continuous use costly.

Right (Experience: 4〜5 years) The variation is (´;゚;ё;゚;) disgustingly good

      Reviews by user

It really feels like the saying "you can win with equipment alone" fits this rubber.
The moment the ball hits it, it gives the opponent insane variation.
Honestly, I can't even tell what kind of variation it is myself.
The downside is the cost. On top of being expensive, I practice 6 days a week and the pips wore out before a month was up.

snackj (Experience: 4〜5 years) Really good!

      Reviews by user

I'm a mid-level penhold pips player at the prefectural tournament level.
My blade is the Magic Wall 2
and I mounted Kiryu 2 on the backside.
As for my impression after hitting with it,
it really stops the ball!! (^_^)
      that's really the whole story.
It's not that spin gets applied just by touching it, but I felt like just blocking with it would somehow work out (^_^)
But the short lifespan is a bit of a flaw..(;_;)
I think it suits players who generate their own spin!

Endangered pen table (Experience: More than 20 years) Quirky yet captivating long pips

      Reviews by user

If I'm going to use long pips, I want a rubber with a strong, quirky character that opponents really hate facing.
I expected it to be hard to use — that's just part of the deal. The rest you just have to cover with skill.
This rubber fit exactly what I was looking for.
Even against an opponent's heavily spun drives or trick serves, I can wobble the ball and return it with reversed spin. Control is a bit lacking, so you probably shouldn't try to aim too precisely for a specific course.
If you cut-block an opponent's loop drive close to the table, it comes back with intense backspin, which is quite effective.
You can also hit flat or drive with it, but the resulting ball doesn't have all that much power.
The one flaw is that the pips wear out easily, so it doesn't last long, and the price is high.

Grain height shakes What to attack (Experience: 4〜5 years) Stability is wonderful

      Reviews by user

Of all the long pips I've tried for my backhand, this was the most stable. I also tried the whole Curl series and Feint Long series, but this one was the softest and most stable. I think going without sponge gives you more stability, but if you're also swinging your backhand or chopping from away from the table, I think it's better with sponge.

s 3446 (Experience: 2〜3 years) You never know which way it'll turn on you

      Reviews by user

I'm a chopper who originally used Feint Long 3,
but I recently got curious about the Viper rubber
and gave it a try (^o^)
      What's amazing is
just like it says on the label,
you can play both offense and defense.
      Also,
depending on your swing speed for chopping,
you can produce a really vicious chop,
      or a knuckle (no-spin) chop.
If I had to point out a downside,
pushes are pretty hard to do,
so about the only option is to push using sidespin.

Depending on your own form, chopping,
      chop-style short blocks and blocks,
      and your own skill level,
      this rubber can turn a 10 into a 5, or into a 20 —
      that's how I'd describe it.

How much that "poison" drives your opponent crazy,
      and sometimes bites you back,
if you can't handle it, it'll bite you too —
I think this can be a tough rubber depending on the person.

      A rubber with creepy variation.
I was drawn in by the huge, totally unreadable variation and the versatility to attack too, so I bought it!
I really felt it's a rubber that translates into points!

This rubber excels at throwing off your opponent's timing. It shows unmatched strength when blocking. Attacking on your own isn't impossible, but you need speed in your swing. It might be a rubber that picks its user.
