The long pimple rubber another dimension

Naturally this long pimple rubber with ITTF homologation (with friction) offers only little spin reversal.

Nevertheless it does produce a considerable disruptive effect on account of a completely new and innovative rubber composition which changes the playing characteristics decisively.

Both the version without sponge (OX) and the version with sponge (0.6 and 1.0mm) are very effective for chop-blocking close to the table. Also the ball can be blocked passively or aggressively against topspin through a sort of push-blocking technique where the ball is being “pushed down” while holding the bat in a rather closed angle.

Furthermore the ball can be kept short over the net for service returns even against fast services with no spin on it at all. The ball bounces very low and even moves backwards to the net. The version with sponge (especially with 0.6mm) enables a more dynamic service returning and thus also provides a good disruptive effect. This also holds true while returning services with a lot of spin since this makes the ball float.

Also the ball bounces very low while counter-attacking.

On top of that the rubber enables highly disruptive attacking shots through aggressive pushing, lifting and sidespin strokes.

Finally DESPERADO is a good choice for chopping too since the ball can be returned very flat with good backspin or alternatively as a float ball.

Put pressure on your opponent, play with DESPERADO!

    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
Highly praised as a high-performance pimple rubber for cut players and close-to-net players. Characterized by excellent cutting performance and spin variation, though it requires advanced skill and has durability concerns.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Excellent cutting performance with substantial spin variation
    • Low bounce and slow ball release confuse opponents effectively
    • Hard pimples enable easy pimple attacks
    • Push-pull strokes are challenging for beginners
    • Pimples tend to fall off easily affecting durability
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveAs cutting technique improves, spin increases dramatically. Slow, sharp cuts mixed with knuckle shots create confusion for opponents. Perfect for players wanting to win through spin variation.
▽ CriticalPimples fall off easily with poor durability despite the high price. Users should be careful with maintenance and management.

Nice work, JUIC. A rubber this good doesn't come around often... What really stands out about this rubber is the block. It stops the ball, it's got sharp spin, and it's easy to control. A rubber that ticks all three of those boxes is rare. And the push you can follow a block with is way too strong. This seems suited less to choppers and more to close-to-the-table unorthodox-rubber attackers.

Cut main type (Experience: 4〜5 years) Love it

      Reviews by user

I used to be a chopper with short pips on my backhand. Before I started using this rubber, I chopped with both forehand and backhand, but I was never quite comfortable with my backhand chop. While I was wondering what to do about it, I happened to find this rubber on this great site, and since I heard it also suits the Defplay Senso, I didn't hesitate to buy the red 0.6mm. After switching to this and getting used to it, my backhand chop got so good that I basically stopped chopping on the forehand at all. Now I can even beat friends who never hit a single drive against choppers. If you chop serves without being afraid, they land in surprisingly well. I'm really glad this was the first long pips rubber I ever used, and I want to keep using it going forward. Thickness: OX, 0.6mm, 1mm

Pingpong on the street corner (Experience: 4〜5 years) Handles spin reversal amazingly!!

      Reviews by user

This rubber has low bounce and amazing sharpness on chop-style short balls. The reversal effect is also incredible — if a topspin serve comes in, just blocking it can make the opponent net their third ball. It's also easy to push with, and works well for both attack and defense. Long-pips beginners probably start with something like Curl, but when you're ready to switch, I'd recommend Desperado. It's a truly scary long pips rubber.

Great sound! The chop variation is amazing yet it's still easy to use! The pips are on the harder side! Recommended for choppers! Pushes tend to float if you're not used to it.

YO man that you can not type When you are stop but to cut (Experience: 4〜5 years) The rubber that changed my fate

      Reviews by user

I first met him in the spring of my second year of middle school.
He was a junior teammate — a guy who could drive but couldn't return a lob, let's call him Yo-man.
I taught him all sorts of things, including drives and how to pick rubbers.
What I taught him was Fastarc G1. That rubber is really great.
But the moment I hit a shot with this Desperado, I felt something amazing, unlike anything since.
Sure, inverted and long pips are different rubbers, so it's not really a fair comparison, but this was on another level entirely.
The moment I switched to Desperado, I felt like my chops got noticeably better. The amount of spin is incredible too. Even though it's long pips, you can actually attack with it.
This is truly a revolutionary rubber.
I want to keep using it going forward.
      Glory to this rubber too‼

Kaolin Long pips, yet easy to use

      Reviews by user

This is an unusually easy-to-use rubber for this type of variation rubber — my pushes have plenty of backspin, but somehow my chops end up varying too and my opponent messes up. I'd hate to play against someone using this, lol

The pips are a bit hard and tall.
Blocks stop the ball well and create a lot of variation.
It's also easy to attack with, and you can chop slow, heavily-spun balls too.
