Both the spin and speed are high, but when you brush the ball short or don't hit it cleanly, its stability on connecting shots is a bit worse than the MX-P's.
That said, when you swing all the way through and really sink the ball in for a drive, its spin and speed both beat the MX-P's.For users who want more power than the MX-P and can keep their play stable, I'd recommend the EL-S.

My first impression is that the sheet is really hard.
Unless you swing hard, you don't feel the sponge's softness at all. WRM introduced it as being for intermediate players and up, but I don't think this is a rubber intermediate players can really handle. It's true the grip is good and it spins well, and the short-game techniques are easy to do, but in my case it came in at a relatively heavy 50g after cutting, so I don't think it's suited to close-to-the-table play, and playing mid- to far-from-the-table is tough unless you can really swing through. The sponge hardness is listed as 45, but the sheet is hard, so my impression is the overall hardness is more like 47.5 or higher. It's also a bit on the heavy side.
[Drive] The sheet has good grip, so brushing drives spin really well, but drives that sink the ball in are tough because the sheet is hard — you have to swing with quite a lot of power. Once you do manage to sink the ball in, though, the sponge's softness kicks in and it's stable.
[Short game] There's no technique in particular that's hard to do, and stops are easy to keep low.
[Serve] Serves tend to come out short. The amount of spin isn't as intense as other spin-oriented rubbers side by side. It's not that it doesn't spin — more that it might be a rubber where it's hard to actually generate the spin.I'd call it "an easy-to-use rubber for advanced players," I suppose.

Just my own opinion, but
right now I'm using a blade that's pretty springy, and the EL-S doesn't pair that well with springy blades, so it takes time to get used to.
If you really grip the ball hard you get amazing spin, but if you just lightly brush it, it doesn't grip at all! (at least with my blade lol)

I wanted a rubber with real punching power, and ended up buying this on impulse. I got the power I was aiming for, but it ran wild on every single technique and I couldn't control it. I didn't have the energy to retrain every technique from scratch, so I reluctantly gave up on it (tears). But that's not the rubber's fault. The spin on serves and chops is fantastic, and chopping against hard hits is surprisingly easy and really bites!?
But pushes tend to float and drives tend to go long — it has quite strong quirks. Once you get used to it there's plenty of speed too, so if it suits you, I think it's a fantastic rubber. Lately I've been thinking that getting to the next level takes real skill to harness this power. Someday, maybe…All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

I think you need some power to hit drives with this rubber, but it spins really well and your serves come out really sharp too. A rubber I'd recommend for intermediate players and up.

Genshu (bought from World Rubber Market) — I have it on my forehand for chopping. I used to use the EL-P, but I wanted even more spin so I switched to this rubber. It spins nicely not just on attacking shots but also on chops and in the short game. The speed is more than enough too. Everything about it is perfect.
