Since the Flare Storm 2 got discontinued, I reluctantly tried this one. The speed is indeed excellent, but everything else is worse than the Raystorm 2. It seems to sacrifice everything else just to chase smash and speed performance. I can't help but feel this rubber only suits a very specific type of player.

I really want everyone to try this at least once!
I always thought balls lower than the net were hard to hit flat, but... with this rubber, you can just smack them right in (and it's surprisingly easy to get spin on for short pips!)
Knuckle balls come out easily too, so you get that classic short-pips style of play! Forehand flat hits are surprisingly good too...
The only thing is, because the sponge is soft, my pushes
tend to float up a bit... (though that might just be because I'm not very good...)
I think this is the best rubber, with that satisfying sound ringing out! Highly recommend! ( ﾉ^ω^)ﾉAll Speed Spin Control Hardness Soft

The feel is neither too soft nor too hard.
The speed didn't go beyond what I expected.

It's just fast and bouncy. Plus the trajectory is dead straight. In a good way, it doesn't take much spin and tends to produce knuckle balls. For some reason serves still get a decent amount of spin on them. I think it's an excellent speed-oriented short pips rubber.

Switched from the Hammond FA Speed and put this on my backhand.
This is a rubber where I felt it's better not to use much wrist action when hitting.
It bounces quite a bit. So I think it's a perfect fit for someone switching from long pips to short pips.
So if you feel like your current short pips don't have enough bounce, I'd recommend switching to this one.
If you receive with an inverted-rubber feel, you'll overshoot.
Surprisingly, you can land some good smashes with it too.

In a word, it's easy to use.
The short game close to the table is very easy to handle.
It works decently at mid-distance too.
Away from the table, you can even chop like Tang Peng and get decent results.
That said, the sponge is on the harder side for short pips, so I wouldn't recommend it to short-pips beginners.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

Doesn't grip the ball much for spin, but you get knuckle balls. Kind of like a Booster. Firmer than the old Raystorm.
