This time I'll be reviewing R47 (Ultramax). I've tried Rasanter a few times here and there, but R47 was really good, so I want to introduce its good points. First, speed — I'd say it's plain fast. It generates plenty of speed, so I'd rate it a 10 for that. Next, spin. The spin is also quite good. It can work for people who prioritize spin too, but unless you really commit to gripping the ball, you won't get much strong spin out of it. Even so, the power is amazing.

This is my impression after using it for about a year while acting as a practice partner for an elementary school table tennis club.
Before R47, I had the VEGA series on my forehand side, so this is a comparison against that.
R47 is clearly faster. Even with a light swing, the ball just flew off. You can easily drive it hard into the opponent's court even attacking from away from the table. That said, control is difficult. I guess that's the price you pay for such good spring.
The topspin drive can be hit with just a light brush too.
Serves can carry solid spin, and pushes cut properly as well.
Control might be tough until you get used to it. If you swing full power right from the start, it goes long. But if you swing properly and make clean contact, it goes where you aim.
It's a good rubber for someone who has properly built up their technique and worked their way up through tension rubbers, but it's definitely not a rubber for beginners.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

The power is just great, no matter what!! The sound when you hit the ball feels incredibly good (๑•̀ㅁ•́ฅ✧
Having so much power doesn't mean you lose control either, and once you get used to it you can keep attacking more and more!!! Plus the sponge is yellow-green, which looks really cool! Personally I find it really easy to use, and I'd recommend it to attacking players (^^)

you might think that at first, and that makes sense — it bounces quite a lot and you need a bit of angle technique too. I found it hard to use at first as well, but I was able to keep improving beyond myself! Please don't give up right from the start!

Honestly it doesn't put a huge amount of spin on the ball. But for a spin-type tension rubber, it has a crisp, satisfying feel when you hit, almost like a speed-type rubber. Because of that, that crisp feel really comes through when countering the opponent's topspin drive, and it feels great to hit. On top of that, it doesn't bounce much in the short game, so it's easy to receive.

This review is mainly based on using it on the forehand.
When hitting lightly on the forehand it feels a bit hard, but when you put more power into the shot it feels soft.
When you drive, you get a sense of gripping the ball, but with no odd feeling and easy control. Flat-hitting techniques were a bit harder to control, so I think that's a slight weak point.
Serves have good bite, but when you try to keep them short they tend to float up a little, so it takes some getting used to.
Overall, among spin-type rubbers this one doesn't have much of a quirky personality and isn't especially high-performance, but I think it's easy to use and can be recommended to just about anyone.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

If you ask me the real appeal of this rubber, it has to be the heavy, fast topspin drive. The amount of spin is absurd, and even though the sponge is thick, you can still sink the ball into it properly. And of course, since the sponge is thick, you get speed too. The only other rubbers that have both of these at such a high level are probably Tenergy or G-1... Anyway, it suits pretty much anyone. From shakehand to penhold, from inverted to anti-spin and everything else... the fact that it has such a wide repertoire is probably one reason it feels "strong."

Rapidly beginning (Experience: ４〜５ years)

Among andro's tension rubbers, this is the easiest to use.
I had it on my forehand, and it gets good speed while still letting you loop easily.
It's right between beginner and intermediate level —
a rubber I'd recommend for loop drive players.
