    A THUNDERBOLT

Z3 with its large pored 42.5° sponge is considerably softer. This makes a big difference. One not only feels it but also hears it. Lovers of freshly glued rubbers will delight in the sound. An attacking stroke with Bluestorm Z3 sounds like the crash of thunder, yet the topspin player remains in full control.

    Feel the clap of thunder!

Tokura (Experience: 2〜3 years) Using it on backhand

      Reviews by user

I currently play penhold, with Kiryu max thickness on my forehand and Bluestorm Z3 thick on my backhand. I used to use Rozena thick, but I wanted more depth on my shots, so I bought this slightly softer rubber. I've used gft48 and Rozena before, and this had the best feel by far. My impression after using it was that it flies a long way, kind of like Omega 5 Pro when you brush it — it goes forward well. Chiquita goes in easily even with a light swing, and it's forgiving even when you're a bit jammed. Loop drives on the backhand were easy to do. If you use your wrist well, you can generate tremendous spin. Counters were also easy to handle since they get speed even with a light swing. Both speed and spin were excellent, and I never felt like anything was lacking.
I'd definitely recommend everyone give it a try.

I used it on my forehand, but it's soft and I feel it's better suited for the backhand. It was easier to get spin by sinking the ball into the sponge rather than brushing it, so if you normally use a hard rubber, it'll probably feel strange.
      When I put a lot of spin on it, it felt like the ball stopped flying? ^^;

(Mi) cash on delivery (Experience: 6〜10 years) Drives are very easy to swing

      Reviews by user

Since it's on the soft side, I first put it on my backhand, but when I tried it on my forehand, my topspin drives started going in surprisingly easily.
I get a lot of spin on my serves too, and things like the push are easy to do.
Because it's soft, it's harder to get speed, but the spin on loop drives is more than enough.
I'd recommend this rubber to people whose drives tend to hit the net.

Both (Experience: 4〜5 years) Overall easy to use

      Reviews by user

I like softer rubbers, so I switched to this one. It's easy to hit on both forehand and backhand, with good control and stability. Receives also left a good impression — the ball doesn't pop up and stays on a low trajectory. The speed isn't all that fast, but it's easy to get spin on, and serves were easy to do too. I think the performance is plenty good for the forehand as well. It feels like a rubber that carries on the performance of the Blue Fire M3.

Mum (Experience: 4〜5 years) Easy to use!

      Reviews by user

This is a rubber with no real weaknesses.
Drives are stable, blocks are easy to stop, and pushes bite nicely.
I think the natural comparisons would be Rakza X Soft or Vega Asia DF, but this rubber is less finicky than those, and mistakes are less likely to happen even when your precision drops a bit.
Part of that might just be that I personally don't like non-slip type topsheets, though...

If your impact isn't that strong, I think you could use this on the forehand too. With this hardness, it's not going to fly off wildly.
That said, its lifespan is about average.
The price is reasonable and it has plenty of bounce and spin, so definitely give it a try.

Ellen (Experience: 2〜3 years) This is next level!

      Reviews by user

This is a more stable rubber than the other Bluestorm versions. It gets spin and also helps keep your drives stable. I use it with a penhold grip, and it's plenty easy to use. I'll probably stick with this one from now on.
