    A THUNDERBOLT

Z3 with its large pored 42.5° sponge is considerably softer. This makes a big difference. One not only feels it but also hears it. Lovers of freshly glued rubbers will delight in the sound. An attacking stroke with Bluestorm Z3 sounds like the crash of thunder, yet the topspin player remains in full control.

    Feel the clap of thunder!

Stitch (Experience: 4〜5 years) Might be a hit,

      Reviews by user

It's really easy to use. I think it works well for everyone from beginners to advanced players. In the short game, the sponge really lets the ball sink in, so shots go in reliably. From mid-distance, you never feel like it's lacking in power. You can hit drives with a nice solid arc. Overall, it's an all-around usable rubber.

Neo (Experience: 6〜10 years) No downsides of soft tension rubber

      Reviews by user

Used the 1.9mm on the backhand of a shakehand blade.
      It measured 157mm x 150mm and weighed 43g.
My overall impression was that it's perfectly suited to the backhand.
It's soft, so drives and chiquita are very easy to hit, and it's a pleasure to use.
Also, for a soft tension rubber, it puts on plenty of spin, and I especially liked how the push shots bite and come out on a low trajectory.
You can get it for under 4,000 yen online, so I think it's a pretty good value-for-money rubber.

Momentum. (Experience: 11〜20 years) Suited for backhand

      Reviews by user

It's soft, so it's suited to the backhand. Because it's soft, you need a decent impact and to really sink the ball in, or you won't get the best out of this rubber. When you drive by sinking the ball in, speed, spin, and control are all well-balanced at a high level!!
Compared to the M3, I think the control is even better on this one. It's easy to put spin on too.
That said, when you receive a strong shot from your opponent, maybe because it's so soft, the return tends to come back flat with no spin.
If you're choosing within the Bluestorm line, I'd recommend the Z1 or Z2 over the Z3.

In the short game (stop, flick), it lands solidly and stays consistent, and from mid-distance it has a nice moderate speed that lets pretty much any shot go in. The stability is just incredible.

MR-01 (Experience: More than 20 years) Easier to use than the Z1

      Reviews by user

This is a tension rubber that carries on the legacy of the Bluefire M3. It's slightly softer than the Z1, and because the ball holds on the sheet a bit longer, I found it easier to handle. Backhand half-volleys and fish shots are easy to control, and soft-touch shots stay stable. I think it suits rally-oriented players who play close to mid-distance from the table.
Since it's open-priced, I was curious what it would actually cost in stores, but I managed to get it for under 4,000 yen including tax. Amazing value for money!

Got to try hitting with this. Among Donic rubbers, I'd say this one has amazing control. The balance between grip and control is good, so I think it would suit pretty much any playing style.
