First, the blade needs to be a 5-ply wood blade, and a thinner one at that — that's a must.
Otherwise you won't be able to control it and its character won't come through.

With that in mind, this is a really interesting rubber.

The ball just sits on it so well.
It has a kind of ball-holding feel you don't normally get from an OX rubber.
Even though it's OX, the ball arcs nicely. You can loop easily.

When you hit flat, true to an OX rubber, the ball comes out nasty and flat.

For blocking too, you can return almost anything just by touching the ball.

Receiving is also very easy.
You can push the ball in by adjusting the angle, flick it flat, add a bit of spin — you can do just about anything.

If you're used to short pips, you should be able to pick this up right away.

That said, obviously there's no real bounce, so it's not suited for an attacking style.
There's no ball speed, so while you can create a speed difference with your forehand shots, it ends up being a straight, flat ball with no life.

Even used defensively, it doesn't give you the kind of variation that lets you win points outright.

In the end, I'd say it's for forehand-dominant players who move around a lot and use it to create chances, or for players with backhand pips who want to shift to a slightly more aggressive style.
