Sriver FX combines the traditional Sriver rubber surface with a softer, more elastic sponge layer.
This combination allows the ball to sit on the rubber surface a little longer to generate more spin.

    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
Highly evaluated as a classic beginner-friendly rubber with excellent control stability due to its soft sponge. However, in today's tension rubber era, some users point out drawbacks such as lack of power and weak rebound characteristics.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Soft sponge makes it easy for beginners to handle
    • Superior control properties and stability
    • Ideal for learning backhand and blocking techniques
    • Excellent cost-performance at affordable price
    • Limited power and spin unsuitable for modern play
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveDespite having a soft sponge, the sheet is firm with good speed. Perfect for beginners to develop the feel of striking the ball and master fundamental techniques.
▽ CriticalThe sponge is somewhat too soft with weak rebound, making it difficult to produce power unless you swing hard. It falls short in power and spin generation in today's tension rubber-dominated era.

I think it might be a little too soft.
Something like the EL seems to have both softness and firmness, but this FX feels like its rebound has become quite weak.
Still, since you can swing fully through the ball to return it, I think it makes rallies easier to keep going.

Sriver FX has a soft sponge, so it's easy to control.
There's nothing especially outstanding about it, but it makes the basic techniques easy to do.

It's also cheap, so I think it's a rubber that even beginners can use easily!

Suguru (Experience: Less than a year) Easy to control

      Reviews by user

I use this on my forehand — it's easy to control, and if you brush the ball, the spin is amazing.

The short game over the table is easy to handle too.

      I'd recommend it for beginners.

I'd recommend this right after a control-oriented rubber. It puts out surprising power on drives.

At this point I can't really use this as my main rubber anymore, but it's well suited for a beginner picking their very first rubber.
If you swing through properly, you do get speed, so I think it helps you get a feel for "hitting the ball yourself."
It's also good for someone who prioritizes control to put on the backhand.

This rubber has a lot of speed. It has good bounce too. The drive is great, of course, but the control is a bit iffy.

I used to love this one back in the day. Once you put speed glue on it, the bounce became absolutely ridiculous.
These days, it should be more than fine as a rubber for beginners.
