Sriver FX combines the traditional Sriver rubber surface with a softer, more elastic sponge layer.
This combination allows the ball to sit on the rubber surface a little longer to generate more spin.

    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
Highly evaluated as a classic beginner-friendly rubber with excellent control stability due to its soft sponge. However, in today's tension rubber era, some users point out drawbacks such as lack of power and weak rebound characteristics.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Soft sponge makes it easy for beginners to handle
    • Superior control properties and stability
    • Ideal for learning backhand and blocking techniques
    • Excellent cost-performance at affordable price
    • Limited power and spin unsuitable for modern play
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveDespite having a soft sponge, the sheet is firm with good speed. Perfect for beginners to develop the feel of striking the ball and master fundamental techniques.
▽ CriticalThe sponge is somewhat too soft with weak rebound, making it difficult to produce power unless you swing hard. It falls short in power and spin generation in today's tension rubber-dominated era.

I'd recommend this to first-timers. As a rubber, it's on the slightly soft side.
In the beginning I had it on both sides, but as expected of a long-running best-seller, it holds up consistently. As you get used to it, you start wanting a bit more variation, but I feel it's an excellent rubber that lets you return the ball reliably.

It's a rubber that's very easy to control the ball with and has great balance.
I think players of any level or any playing style can use it.

Grandson boiled Maybe good for beginners

      Reviews by user

I used it on the backhand side of my Swat, and since it's a bit soft I thought it might lack power, but the control is amazing.
      It was really good.

Yutchi @ cut One of the two great rubbers alongside Mark V

      Reviews by user

Along with Mark V, this is a super famous rubber that helped define an era. Just like Mark V, I feel it's still easy to use in today's tension-rubber era. As a high-tension rubber, it has plenty of bounce, and it's a rubber that adds even more speed on top of the Sriver, so I'd recommend it to beginners who want to build basic technique!

      Reviews by user

This is a really great rubber for someone who's just starting out in table tennis.
When I was truly just starting, I actually used it on both sides.
It's excellent for control and it's light.
The edges start wearing out pretty quickly though.

Since it's a control-focused rubber in the Sriver line, I'd recommend either the Flextra or this one to beginners.
