      I read a bunch of reviews and bought this with high expectations. It didn't live up to them lol
      It's not a bad rubber. But compared to a tension rubber, it's hopelessly unbouncy lol
      You need to hit 3-4 times as many attacking shots as before to actually score, and you end up tensing up, so I'd guess your point rate on attacks probably drops.
      That said, the chopping was wonderful!
      It had so much stability that I felt like I could return any drive. Ripping a really vicious chop was beyond me, but being able to keep landing chops with decent spin over and over felt pretty amazing!

      Cut player who is not good at forehand

      I bought this about a year ago after someone recommended it to me.
      I use it on my forehand, and while practicing with reverse-side play, my pushes and chops get a lot of spin on them, which has become a scoring source in matches ✨️

      I don't attack much in matches, so I don't have much to say about its attacking performance.

      I'm an attack-oriented chopper using inverted rubber on both sides. I'd been struggling to settle on a backhand rubber, so I used this to go back to basics. Thickness is medium. Both the pros and cons here basically come from the fact that the bounce is extremely weak. It cuts more sharply than the catalog specs suggest.

      Pros
      - Serves are short and cut very sharply
      - Receives in general are stable (especially against backhand long serves, excellent)
      - Chops and pushes can be cut with full power
      - Sidespin pushes are easy to execute
      - Relatively insensitive to the opponent's spin

      Cons
      - Low attacking power
      - Chops from away from the table don't reach
      - Drives and meet-hits fall short (straight into the net)
      - Control when sending the ball out is hard to keep stable
      (because you have to rely on your own strength and swing speed)
      - Durability is on the low side

      Honestly, I can't really recommend this for attack-oriented players at intermediate level or above. It seems like a good match for beginners who want to learn spin, people who struggle with receiving, or penhold long-pips players who focus on serves. Unlike modern rubbers that bounce well and cut automatically, this is the kind of rubber that reminds you of the joy of cutting the ball yourself.

      I put this on the forehand side of a penhold blade.

      First, drives really bite well.

      It suits a grabbing style of hitting, and it also has a decent amount of pop.

      It would probably work on the backhand too.

      I bought this as an inverted rubber for chopping. The thickness is medium.
      First off, I don't recommend it. Attacking is hopeless with this rubber. It's slow, so it's easy for opponents to return.
      The stability and spin on chops are about average.
      If you're going to buy something, another rubber would be better.

      I heard it suits the backhand inverted style, so I actually tried hitting with it.
      Honestly, I could hit some nasty shots.
      It has high elasticity but isn't a tension rubber, so it traces a unique trajectory.
      Also, even with the thick sponge, it doesn't bounce that much, so you can really crank the spin and swing all out.
      It's a pretty interesting rubber!

      Tanaka 0569 A first backside rubber for Chinese penhold

      Moderate bounce, moderate spin, moderate speed, moderate feel.

      It really has all four qualities balanced, and it's quite good for beginners using the backhand inverted style.

      It seems like a good way to build the basics before stepping up to tension rubbers from here.
