Sriver FX combines the traditional Sriver rubber surface with a softer, more elastic sponge layer.
This combination allows the ball to sit on the rubber surface a little longer to generate more spin.

    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
Highly evaluated as a classic beginner-friendly rubber with excellent control stability due to its soft sponge. However, in today's tension rubber era, some users point out drawbacks such as lack of power and weak rebound characteristics.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Soft sponge makes it easy for beginners to handle
    • Superior control properties and stability
    • Ideal for learning backhand and blocking techniques
    • Excellent cost-performance at affordable price
    • Limited power and spin unsuitable for modern play
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveDespite having a soft sponge, the sheet is firm with good speed. Perfect for beginners to develop the feel of striking the ball and master fundamental techniques.
▽ CriticalThe sponge is somewhat too soft with weak rebound, making it difficult to produce power unless you swing hard. It falls short in power and spin generation in today's tension rubber-dominated era.

It's even softer than Sriver EL, so it was very easy to control. That said, I think the spin was inferior to EL.

Table tennis rubber tester hunting researcher (Experience: More than 20 years) If you're playing matches with this rubber, thin is recommended.

      Reviews by user

Among old-school table tennis rubbers, this one suits players who attack using a lot of spin. It fits a style built around powerful topspin drives followed by smashes.

Faintness (Experience: 6〜10 years) Rubber for beginners

      Reviews by user

It's softer and easier to control than Sriver EL.

For a soft rubber, the feel is a bit on the harder side, and I was able to receive stably without being affected much by spin.

I think it's a good recommendation for beginners without much power, like elementary schoolers or women. It's also a good choice for beginners who struggle with their backhand.

Spin monster (Experience: 11〜20 years) A rubber that builds your touch

      Reviews by user

Back when I was actively playing (using speed glue), this was top-tier performance.
I'm not using it anymore, but it was the first rubber I chose when learning the reverse-side penhold technique.
In my penhold days I used a max-thickness, high-hardness rubber on the backhand, so this felt too soft and I struggled with blocking, but I think it was great for developing the feel of swinging on my own initiative.
It's easy to handle, so I'd recommend it to people who are new to table tennis.

Gundam (Experience: Less than a year) A rubber beginners can use with confidence!

      Reviews by user

I'm a 7th grader who just started this year, and even as a beginner I can use this rubber with confidence.
If you're not sure what rubber to get, I'd recommend the Sriver FX!
I think it's one of the two big beginner-recommended rubbers, right up there with Yasaka's Mark V.

      Reviews by user

It has a soft sponge, but since it's part of the Sriver series, the sheet is firm. Overall, it's not all that mushy.

If you don't catch the ball properly, it won't fly, but the sponge holds the ball well and the bounce is kept moderate, so back when I was an inverted-inverted chopper I used it on my backhand. It's not easily affected by the opponent's spin, and if you speed up your own swing, you can still get plenty of spin on it.

Attacking is a bit tough with it, though. Since it's soft… it doesn't kick off the ball as well as Sriver or Sriver EL, so it doesn't go forward much….
