Fast when you hit hard, but behaves like long pips on receive.
A rubber that combines the strengths of short pips and long pips. This is the #1 rubber I never want to face. All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

so sa (Experience: 4〜5 years) A nasty rubber

This produces incredibly nasty balls.
If you stop it, it comes back as a hard-to-handle knuckle ball. If you hit it, you get a fast, wobbling knuckle ball. On drives, it's easy to make the difference between a knuckle ball and a spinny one obvious. I think opponents find it unbearably tricky to deal with.
That said, for an irregular rubber, it's still affected by incoming spin more than you'd expect. All Speed Spin Control Hardness Hard

Super easy to use. Honestly, for the first 1-2 weeks after buying it I couldn't use it well and was all over the place, but once I got used to it, it's easy to handle. I'm using the OX (single-ply) version. I used to be a penhold pips player and switched playing styles, and since regular short pips didn't work for me, I bought this OX rubber instead. First, chop-blocks and variation blocks (just touching the ball) — the chop-block has decent bite (enough that my opponent can push it back). Following that up with a meet-hit (angled hit) or a backhand topspin drive off the reverse side really annoys opponents. Also, for some reason, when I snap a push (it's actually a knuckle ball) it works ridiculously well lol.
That said, watch out because pushes are affected a bit by your opponent's spin. Snapping out a chop-block, getting them to push it back, then smashing it — Bam! — is really easy to do and honestly great. Basically, being able to keep firing off annoying balls is the best part. It's such an annoying ball that a teammate who used Attack8 said they came to really hate playing against it. Shots over the table take some getting used to, but with a bit of practice you're totally fine there too. I'm going to keep using this one. It's a genuinely great rubber. All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

Reviewing this because a club teammate uses it
In one word: "creepy."
The blocks come back as knuckle balls, like there's basically no spin on them at all.
It varies so much you start wondering, "wait, is this short pips?"
If I ran into this in a tournament, I'd definitely cry (guaranteed)All Speed Spin Control Hardness Soft

I was using a regular short-pips rubber but couldn't produce knuckle balls, so I decided to try a variation short-pips rubber, and... this is by far the easiest to use among variation short-pips rubbers.
This rubber makes receiving easy, and you get knuckle balls from everything between pushes and blocks, which I imagine must be really tough to deal with from your opponent's side.
It's easy to use, but in my case it took time to get used to.
Still, I've started beating opponents I couldn't beat before, and I'm glad I switched to the Attack 8.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

Hitting it lightly gave surprisingly good speed (long pips)
Blocking right after the bounce gave good speed too
and it had a bit of backspin on it
Serves had surprisingly good spin (especially backspin), and I thought it cut surprisingly sharpAll Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft
