I used this for about a year.
With the V15 Extra, you'd sink the ball into the sponge for attacking shots and catch it on the surface for defensive shots, but the V22 Double Extra is a rubber that wants you to do both attack and defense right on the sheet surface. If you hit it with the mindset of sinking the ball into the sponge, the sheet grips the ball too much and you end up with a straight, spinless ball. Think less "drive through it" and more "snap and grab it." So it might not suit players who take big full swings. I felt like this rubber is in demand among players who play table tennis with minimal, compact swings. In that sense, it's a rubber that works for almost anyone on the backhand. If you use it on the forehand, you really need to keep your swing compact like I mentioned above, or you won't get a good ball — it's genuinely hard to handle and has quirks.

I'm using V22 MAX on both sides.
The first time I used it on my forehand it flew way too much and I couldn't control it, but once I got used to it, it felt just right.
On the backhand it's good enough that I have zero complaints.
That said, it might not be a great fit for players who hit flat into the ball.

I put this on the reverse side of a penhold blade, for backhand use.
Like the title says, in backhand-to-backhand exchanges I basically never lose. The topsheet is incredibly strong. Also, backhand loops get an unbelievable amount of spin.
When I tried it on the forehand, though, the trajectory was too flat for me to handle. But because of that flat trajectory, opponents have a hard time reading how much spin is on the ball, so they often go long.

This rubber has an incredibly strong grip on the ball, so it gets a ton of spin. At first I had it on an Inner ALC blade, but it grabbed the ball so much that shots flew too high and control was difficult. When I put it on a Viscaria Super ALC instead, the grip and the launch were just right — I got plenty of spin, good speed, and could hit really heavy shots.
Loop drives get a nice arc from how well the topsheet grips the ball, and the spin is insane.
I think this rubber works best with a stroke that really puts spin on the ball, rather than just hitting flat into it.
The price isn't too high either, so it's a rubber I highly recommend.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

Even a beginner can make good shots with this as long as they have some power. Attacking from mid-distance or away from the table works really well.
I think it pairs well with blades like Zex Gear or Firefall.

Used this on my backhand. My first impression was that the topsheet is so lively that pushes felt really hard to do. I could technically do them, but the ball would leave the rubber before I could put spin on it, so I just couldn't get any spin going. Because of that, my friend kept asking me "is that an anti-spin rubber?!" over and over. But I think if you push with the image of brushing the underside of the ball, you can get good spin out of it! Other than pushing, I have zero complaints!
