Swat Power is the fastest variant of the Japanese bestseller, TSP Swat. This modern, 7-ply offensive blade is the perfect weapon for ambitions topspin players. In order to guarantee excellent acceleration and high ball bounce, the Japanese team of TSP designers combined the 4 thin outer veneer plies with 3 faster and slightly harder veneer plies. The resulting stability and power are just the features top players rely on in aggressive, high-speed attacking play. For the first time in a while, my main racket went back to being pure wood. That's how strong the bounce and spin are on this racket. I want to compare it a bit to something like the Fortius FT.
In terms of bounce, Swat Power comes out on top. It obviously has speed, but the trajectory is also easy to control and it's easy to produce connecting shots, so I'd say it's like a Fortius FT with the bounce and hardness turned up a notch.
For spin, I'd give it to the Fortius FT. Since it's softer, it grips the ball well and shots are more stable. That's not to say Swat Power is unstable though — not at all. It grips the ball, and you can also brush it. It has just the right feel. I felt tacky rubbers suit the Fortius FT better. Swat Power felt a bit too hard, so there was a strong sense of the ball hitting the blade directly.
For handling balls close to the table, the ball tends to float up a bit, but since spin still bites in, it stays stable. Chiquita also goes in on a straight line, which is nice since it boosts the power too ♪
This Swat Power is also used by Niwa, so the specs are high (though apparently there's already a racket literally called "Koki Niwa" now lol). I'd recommend it for intermediate players looking to boost their power. For beginners, it's pretty much all downside — the feel is too hard and it bounces too much. I love the feel off this one. It's on the harder side for a wood blade, but the ball-holding is incredible. The bounce is more than enough too. It has no special material in it, but even when you back off the table, shots still land deep in the opponent's court. It reminds me a bit of the Fortius FT Ver.D. The balance point sits pretty far toward the tip, so even though it's 10g lighter than my previous blade, it feels heavier when you swing it. It's perfect for anyone who loves wood blades and wants power for a big hit. Since the ball-holding is so good, I personally preferred pairing it with a harder rubber.

It's been about a year since I bought this.
This blade really has that signature wood-blade ball weight and ball-holding feel.
As for rubber pairings, out of everything I've tried, Tenergy 05 felt like the best match.

I compared this with TSP's SWAT and SWAT SPEED, using Ventus Extra on the forehand for all three.
This is a different blade from the other two. Compared to the SPEED, the board is noticeably harder with a stronger kick, so it gets more distance. With the SPEED it felt like you were hitting off the top ply, but with this one it feels like you're hitting right off the surface of the board.
If you're moving over from the regular SWAT, I think you'll find lifting techniques against backspin a bit tricky.
The SWAT's signature feel — the board flexing to grip strong spin, and absorbing power so blocks stay on the table — is smaller here, but this is a blade that holds up in exchanges and lets you get real power out of a full swing.
I also think it holds the ball better and produces more arc than special-material blades or Butterfly's SK7.
With Ventus Extra, the SWAT gives you that flex-and-launch power, but the POWER kicks the ball off the surface for sharp, fast shots. The difference in power was overwhelming.

Comparison with the SWAT Carbon (I'm in my 2nd year of middle school)
Both speed and power are higher on the SWAT Power. The amount of spin doesn't change much, but the SWAT Power feels like it grips the ball slightly more. Control is about the same. Countering is easy, partly because Koki Niwa used this blade.
I think the SWAT Power pairs well with rubbers on the harder side, like V>15 Extra, Ventus Extra, the Rakza series, or Fastarc G1. But if you're not confident in your power, using softer rubber on both sides is fine too. I also often hear it's recommended for players who play close to the table, but even as someone who rallies from mid-distance, I never feel like I'm lacking power. So I'd recommend this to anyone who's been using special-material blades that fly too much and wants to get real power out of a wood blade instead.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness little hard

It flies quite a bit. But being a 7-ply blade, it's easy to control. Unlike carbon, it doesn't just take off on its own, so if you've had trouble with outer-carbon blades, or you want to use tacky rubber on an all-wood blade, definitely give this a try.

I think this is the bounciest blade in the SWAT lineup. The whole SWAT series is easy to use and popular. Being a 7-ply blade, the bounce is great, so it also paired well with short pips. Drives are good, but flat hitting was even better. Smashes carry a good distance too. It felt easier to handle than other 7-ply blades I've tried. Since it has the same ply construction as the Koki Niwa Wood and only differs in grip, I'd suggest the SWAT Power if you just want to try it out, and the Koki Niwa Wood if you prefer its grip design.
