I started playing table tennis in high school and this was my first blade. Bottom line: it's really easy to handle, and it kept producing good ball quality even after my skills improved somewhat, so I used it all three years of high school. Because it uses soft wood, spin bites really well and is easy to generate. I'd recommend it for beginners, but I also felt that as your skill improves, you can raise the power by using harder rubber and keep enjoying it for a long time. That said, I apparently ended up with a heavy individual blade - once I hardened the backhand rubber too, with thick rubber (around 2.0mm) on both sides, it went over 200g. I've heard that heavy individual blades are common, so when buying a Korbel, I'd suggest weighing it in the store and picking as light a one as possible.

Starting from my third rubber since I began table tennis, I used the 2.0 thickness and loved it on my backhand for two years. It's just an incredibly easy-to-use rubber overall. Being quite soft, it's easy to sink the ball into it, which contributed a lot to improving my backhand technique. It gives a lot of freedom on receive, and it's strong for receives like an over-the-table drive that catches the ball right from behind against short backspin serves. That said, because it's soft, stops tend to pop up, so I made a point of switching between an over-the-table drive and a push depending on the situation.

I used the thick version on my forehand for about a year and a half. It was the first hard rubber I'd used, but once I got used to it, the spin was excellent and I could hit heavy drives. It was easy to make opponents overshoot their blocks with loops. Because it's hard, serves, pushes, and stops are relatively easy too. And smashes are just fast, period.

Used the 1.9mm thickness on the backhand. Chiquita, topspin drives, blocks, pushes, and stops — every technique was easy to pull off with good balance. I'd been using Vega Europe for a long time, so it had been a while since I used a medium-hardness rubber, but it was very easy to use.

I normally play with inverted rubber on both sides, but for fun I wanted to try chopping, so I bought this as my first chopping blade. Backhand chops are easy to cut even for beginners, and since it doesn't have much bounce, shots go in stably. I don't have the skill to chop on my forehand, so I use it for attacking and curve-long shots there; it gets good spin, and while the ball speed off it is slow, I can produce an aggressive loop.
