    I use the max-thickness black version on my forehand.
    Good points
    The topsheet is strong and soft
    Control performance is excellent
    Slightly tacky, without being sticky, and holds up fine against tension rubbers
    Works with any stroke, whether you graze it or hit it flat

    Bad points
    The shots come out too uniform
    Speed -1
    It grabs the ball a bit too much

    On blade compatibility
    Outer-ply blades → can secure good initial speed
    Inner-ply blades → holds the ball well, so there's a risk of shots going long
    Plywood blades → can't compete on spin

    Compared to other rubbers
    Spin: Tenergy > V20 ≥ Glayzer 09C
    Speed: VENTUS Extra ≥ Glayzer 09C

    2. Even with 7 plies, it's incredibly light
    3. Head-heavy balance, on the shorter side
    4. A bit hard to get the right angle for the short game
    5. Shoots forward quite a bit
    6. If you close the racket angle, the ball sticks to it

    To sum up, the performance is quite high and matches the price. What I'm a bit concerned about is the angle for the short game and grip preference.

    Personally,
    you should focus on a spin-oriented swing so the rubber doesn't shoot the ball out before it can bite in. Tacky rubber that feels close to a tension rubber works fine too. It's not the case that you get speed at the cost of spin. Tenergy didn't suit it at all for me. I think rubber with a lot of bounce is difficult to use with this. You could say it lets you use a "manual" rubber in a more "automatic" way.

    If you're even a little bit interested, you should just buy it. I don't have much table tennis experience, but I can say this for sure.
    It flies so much you'd think this was a 5-ply blade. It probably depends on the rubber, but the trajectory and spin are insane, and the overall power of the ball is ridiculous. The grip is on the thicker side and flat, making switching between forehand and backhand easy. Here's a breakdown by technique↓↓

    Forehand drive
    High-level speed both against backspin and topspin, goes in no matter how you hit it
    Backhand drive
    You can grab the ball and load it up with tons of spin, or whip it and finish the point in one shot. Effortlessly.
    Serve
    No quirks, gets plenty of spin,
    Over the table
    Stops stay put, but pushes come out with a trajectory that drives in sharply (deep).

    *This is my first review of a Hurricane rubber. Used it on my forehand.
    At first I was puzzled that the ball kept dropping short a lot, but as I practiced more, I figured out why.
    It was a lack of power - in other words, not enough impact on the ball!
    My image was that grazing the rubber thinly would let me put crazy spin on it, but in reality the ball just drops, lol
    When I hit with the image of catching the ball thick and pressing it down, I get great shots.
    Now let me share a few points where the Hurricane didn't match my expectations.
    1. Hitting against backspin doesn't pop the ball out, which is pretty tough
    2. In rallies from mid-distance or away from the table, you can use the opponent's power against them and hit really nasty shots
    3. Even your serve spin gets messier
    Finally
    The blade I used it on was a 5-ply, so it fell into the low-bounce category, but the feel on contact was the best. Next time I'll pick a blade that shoots the ball forward more.

    Honestly, it's not hard at all. You can feel the softness of the top ply and the ALC.
    I think any rubber works with it, whether it's low-bounce or super lively.
    It's just got a really wide margin for error.
    When I use it in matches, it never feels difficult at all.
    Lastly, serves with Glayzer 09C spin like crazy on this, so I recommend that combo.
