    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
The wood's inherent controllability and control performance are highly appreciated, while speed and bounce are moderately controlled—a shared understanding. Despite being suitable for beginners to intermediate players, it offers performance that can satisfy advanced players with appropriate rubber selection.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Soft ball feel and excellent ball retention
    • Wood-specific operability and control performance
    • Good compatibility with tension rubbers
    • Speed and bounce are moderately controlled
    • Superior spin performance among 7-ply composites
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveI found the ideal 7-ply composite. The soft feel and excellent ball retention work beautifully, adapting from blocks to powerful hits, with the wood's characteristic heavy ball being easy to play.
▽ CriticalIt doesn't fly as far as Clipper Wood and feels softer. Better suited for beginners to intermediate players; the necessity of 7-plies seems thin, and it lacks distinctive character.

It doesn't fly as much as the Clipper Wood, and feels softer. Maybe because of the rubber I chose for the first sheet, but it seems geared toward beginner-to-intermediate players. There's not much reason it needs to be 7-ply. I don't feel it has a strong distinct character.

Keppy (Experience: 4〜5 years) Easy to handle, high-performance 7-ply

      Player reviews

I finally found my ideal 7-ply blade!

The bounce is a bit on the mild side, but that doesn't mean you can't get speed out of it. When you want to keep things controlled for blocks or the short game, it stays in, and when you want to go for one big hit, a strong impact can get you speed fast enough to be a no-touch winner.

Also, for a 7-ply blade, the feel is soft and it holds the ball really well. I'm using it with fairly soft rubbers (F47.5°, B42.5°), and it makes an awesome sound that feels great, plus it gives you the reassurance of lifting the ball properly even when your contact point drops low.

Needless to say, the spin is good too — it felt easy to hit the heavy ball that's characteristic of wood blades.

I found it paired well with tension rubbers and slightly tacky tension rubbers.
I haven't tried it, but I imagine that if you put on a really tacky rubber like Hurricane, you'd feel like the ball sinks in too much, you don't get speed, and the power falls short.

Angus beef burgers (Experience: 11〜20 years) This performance is enough

      Player reviews

The feel is on the softer side, it holds the ball well, and it's easy to put spin on. The bounce is moderate — just enough to get the job done. Above all, it has the great handling and control that's typical of wood blades, and unless you're at an advanced level, I think this level of performance is more than enough without reaching for something more. The more you use it, the more you can feel that wood quality settling into your hand — you can tell it's a STIGA.

Ogayu (Experience: More than 20 years) A 7-ply that's great for backhand pips

      Player reviews

When I was switching my backhand from inverted rubber to short pips, I was thinking about buying a 7-ply blade.
I talked it over at my regular table tennis shop, and they recommended a new STIGA product, so since the price was reasonable too, I decided to buy it.
The power on drives, the control on serve and receive, backhand meaty hits, and blocking were all very easy to do, so I'm planning to make this my main racket going forward.
STIGA's wooden blades really are great after all.
